Today, my daughter is mad sulking because she got her first wage today and learned a bunch of new words like national insurance, pension contributions, taxes, automatic student loan repayments, and so on. She actually thought she got to keep ALL the money she earned, and is taking it out on us. FML

Today, my daughter got upset because, even though I bought the car for her when she got her license, I told her it was her responsibility to pay the tax, insurance and MOT every year. End result, my daughter is a selfish brat and I returned the car, but lost a bunch of my deposit money. FML
Today, I learned that my daughter pocketed the money I'd paid so she could go to college. FML
Today, my mom asked me what I did with the first paycheck from my first "big girl" job. I told her I paid down my credit debt like a responsible adult. She rolled her eyes and said she was disappointed in me for not treating myself. She was serious. FML
Today, my second-grade daughter asked her teacher how much money she makes. FML
Today, I found out my fourteen-year-old daughter is making more money than me, thanks to babysitting and winning writing contests. FML
Today, I found out my mom has notebooks with lists of everything she has bought for me ever since I was born. Apparently she is going to make me pay her back for all the money she spent on me once I'm an adult. FML
Today, my daughter got her first house. As soon as she had the keys, she turned on me, ranting at everything she thinks I’ve done to wrong her, and how she never wants to see me again. I don’t understand, I paid for all her furniture, and we still go on mother/daughter trips. Where did I go wrong? FML
Today, I realised I’d raised an idiot when my daughter confidently told me she discovered an infinite money glitch by just using one of her credit cards to pay off her other credit card, then swapping them over every month. This is why she’s 28 and still living in her childhood bedroom. FML
Today, my daughter is such a greedy idiot. Her ex was voluntarily giving her over £1000 for the kid but she decided she wanted more, and dragged him to child support court. She’s now only getting about £500 and her ex, who formerly had a great relationship with her, now hates her guts. Idiot. FML
Today, my mom yelled at me because I refused to lend her money. The reason I won't lend her money? The last time I did, she and my dad went out and bought a Macbook and a new car instead of paying bills. Apparently, I'm being 'selfish' by keeping my own money and putting it towards university. FML

Oh the beauty of becoming a member of workers. This is the time to teach her valuable lesson, if she wants to improve the salary she needs to aim higher and learn basics of economics, investment and tax. Also another tip for future is to check Salary after tax through many online calculator for estimation, so that in future she won't take a job that sounds great but after tax is barely minimum wage left. Don't know if I'd blame parents, you surely explained her the employment dos and don'ts, and benefit of contracts, and how wages work? If you didn't then I understand her anger, if school failed this part then as parents you surely would have asked her about her first job and what it does, etc. You know make sure your child doesn't get abused by employer for being young and clueless
