Weird parenting

Today, I learned that I'm not really allergic to chocolate. My parents made it up when I was a child because they didn't want me to get fat. FML

Tbh I think it's smarter to teach your kids disipline then lie to them about it. It's not impossible. My parents didn't need to lie to me about anything and I've always been a pretty obediant child. And, now, not only do I choose healthy food because they want me to but because I like eating healthy and I know it's best for me. I dout I would think this way if they simply lied to me.

but chances are you're a pussy

Resorting to that kind of implies that they'd have been too weak as parents to control your diet on their own and say no. Not to mention it's a bit stupid to single out chocolate when there's a shitload of other things that make you gain weight.

aww!! I luv ur dp it's so cute!!

So true. But can they really pass those things off as allergies? It's not like they can go "Oh, by the way, you're allergic to McDonalds burgers and fries."

Just chocolate? Damn, they should've made you allergic to Fritos.

Why Fritos? >_>

Yeah why Fritos? O..o

Yeah I agree with them. why fritos?

Fritolay! Nasty potato chips. that people love, and get fat off of.

yeah so brilliant! NOT SO MUCH! I would rather teach my kids good healthy habits and watch them enough to make sure the don't exagerate with the sweets...Like if only chocolate would make ppl fat anyways!

thankful for what? that her parents are liars ? now she gets to wonder what else her parents lied to her about.

that's very mean

My cousin told his kids that cut up pieces of vegetables were 'cookies', so that whenever the kids asked for cookies, they got exactly what they were asking for and were happy.

good for you! at least you're not fat like me
