Today, while working at the coffee shop, I had to empty the garbage cans. One of the bags gave way, and all the half-finished cups of coffee spilled all over my uniform. Most customers' orders cost more than I make per hour. FML

Today, while serving a line of ten customers by myself at the coffee shop I work at, I knocked over a cup of steaming hot milk and it went all over the coffee bar, espresso machine, floor, and myself. I then had to act like everything was fine and make a line of drinks with milk everywhere. FML
Today, after a long bike journey through heavy traffic in the pouring rain to deliver a coffee order, the coffee decided to fall out of the bottom of the now soggy paper bag I was carrying and land on the customer's floor. I cleaned it up with paper towels from the toilets. The delivery company didn't pay me. FML
Today, I was doing my first shift waitressing in a café. Not an hour in, I'd already spilt tea over somebody and dropped two whole meals. Looks like this won't last much longer. FML
Today, I went to get myself a latte to make myself feel better after having a bad day. As soon as I sat down to enjoy it, I spilled it all over myself, another customer, and the floor. FML
Today, I woke up late for work. In my rush to make a quick cup of coffee, I forgot to put a mug under the machine. I came back a few minutes later to a kitchen counter flooded with coffee and had to clean it up, making me even later. To top it off, I was out of coffee. FML
Today, I went to my usual cafe and ordered a caramel latte. As I handed back my empty cup, I gestured to compliment the barista… and knocked over a perfectly balanced tray of macarons. They scattered across the counter and floor like colorful grenades, and I spent the next 10 minutes on my hands and knees scooping pastry shells. FML
Today, I was running late for work so I grabbed my coffee to go. I was rushing down the stairs when I stumbled a bit and spilled the entire cup of coffee all over myself. I had to go back up, change clothes, and was still late. The kicker? It was decaf. FML
Today, I went to Starbucks to get my free birthday coffee and due to a mistake I received two. Thinking it was my lucky day, I hurried off to work. As I was walking in, I tripped and spilt one coffee all over my new dress. Then I walked into a door and spilt the other. FML
Today, it was my first day of work at a very high end company. While delivering coffee to my boss, I set it down on the edge of a magazine, where it spilled over, into his crotch. FML
Today, one of my dogs spilled half my coffee at home. My other dog drank the rest of it. Went to Starbucks later, picked my coffee up off the counter, and the lid popped off, spilling all over the counter, floor and my hand. While they were making me a new one, I dropped my sandwich on the floor. FML

About after taxes if making minimum wage, its about $6.50 an hour, if most customers get two drinks thats probably $6-$8. So it would make sense.

Minimum wage is 7.50 per hour the taxes come out of the total check not out of ur hourly rate.. And a large cup of coffee is about 7$ depending on Wut u get 5$ for a medium so her job must just have really expensive coffee or she just felt like bein a whiner

Actually what 27 is saying is correct. If I make $9/hr and I take my net pay, let's say $280 for 40 hrs after taxes, that comes to $7/hr. Minimum wage is different for every state, it's not $7.50 everywhere.

But they aren't knocking off ur pay per hour they are taking it out with taxes from ur net pay.. Ur still getting paid 7.50 or wutever per hour that doesn't change just because taxes are taken out.. And ya starbucks is expensive don't be stupid it may not be 7$ for a large but I was trying to see how the coffee was more than the girl made per hour.. So either she makes extremely little or the coffee is extremely high.. So let's put this together now

AMAd: taxes are a percentage. Try this on a calculator, (10x.2) + (10x.2)=? Now do 20x .2=? It does not matter when you calculate the tax. Per hour or per the total it is the same.
