Today, while my mother was driving me to school, her coffee started to spill. So like a normal parent, she held it over my lap. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my mom needed coffee so I drove to Starbucks to get her some. She let me drive the Porsche, which has never happened. Upon coming home I picked the coffee up out of the cupholder so it wouldnt spill. My phone vibrated in my pocket, I spilled the coffee and crashed the car into the garage. FML
I'm not awake yet
Today, I bought a coffee on my way to work and put it in the cup holder. At the next red light, I noticed it was empty. I'd apparently forgotten to put the lid on. My passenger seat was covered in coffee. FML
Today, I was drinking coffee out of my favorite mug, when it slipped out of my hand. I caught it, but not before most of the hot coffee spilled all over my lap. In reaction, I dropped the mug again, shattering it. FML
Today, I had to be the designated driver for my mom and aunt. While driving them home, my aunt threw up on the car floor and my mom peed her pants, leaving a puddle in the seat. It was my car. FML
Confuddled
Today, I took the bus to work. I was exhausted and had a big mug of coffee. Half asleep and thinking I was in my car, I reached forward to put it in the "cup holder" during the ride. When I let go, I poured hot coffee not only all over myself, but also on the large, angry-looking man next to me. FML
Haste
Today, I was running late for work and I was carrying my stuff to my car, handbag over my shoulder, laptop in one hand, and my coffee in the other. As I tried to unlock my car, I spilt the coffee all over myself, the car, and my laptop. Now, I’m sticky, wet, and my laptop won't turn on. FML
Stop!
Today, I grabbed a coffee at the McDonald's drive-thru on my way home from work. As I drove away from the restaurant, a kid darted across the parking lot right in front of me. I had to slam hard on my brakes to avoid hitting him, in the process spilling my hot coffee all over my jeans. FML
Today, I discovered I'd left my coffee on top of my car when it fell through the sun roof whilst I was driving, showering me. FML
Today, I was pouring boiling water into a cup, and I accidentally spilled it all over my hand. My mother responded by slapping me for getting water everywhere. My hand is scorched red, but thanks, I love you too, mother. FML
Today, my mom was in the kitchen when her shirt caught on fire. Acting quickly, I poured my glass of water on her. Instead of thanking me, she yelled at me for making a mess. FML

Comnon sense=cupholders. Invest in some

Common sense is "don't drink and drive", literally. Driving with one hand - not a great idea. Not that horrible, but when you're also concentrating on keeping a liquid balanced... That's a recipe for disaster.

Sorry, it's different for everyone. I myself drive more safely and comfortable with one hand than 10 and 2s.

So basically it looked like you peed yourself. How embarassing.

Be careful not to scream! She might decide you're reverting to childlike behavior and call a therapist.

Your mom is a jerk.

Don't blame her, she might've did it out of reflex action. No one would would intentionally do that.

My grandma used to drink tea with apple cider vinegar and she spilled that on me in the car one morning. I smelled like vinegar for the rest of the day. So I totally feel your pain.

Same thing my mom does with her phone everytime it starts ringing

Doesn't your car have built in cup holders?

Ouch, but I don't know any parent that would do that and what about a cup holder?

Eh, well you're right about the "normal parent" bit anyway...my mom did the exact same thing. FYL OP, glad I'm not the only one who gets treated like a coaster!
