Today, while having dinner with my boyfriend's family, his mom told me that it looks like I've gained quite some weight. When my boyfriend told her that this was a rude thing to say, she said it wasn't rude, just the truth. FML

Last call, bad decisions and 3 a.m. texts you'll regret until noon. Cheers.
Same thing different taste
Today, I told my boyfriend that I gained a few pounds and thought I looked fat. He replied that I looked the same and that I shouldn't worry because he likes fat girls. I never thought I was fat before this. FML
Thanks!
Today, I was at my boyfriend's grandmother's house meeting her for the first time. I excused myself to the restroom and as I walked out of the room I heard her say, "You could do a lot better. She's fat." Then I heard my boyfriend reply, "I know." FML
Today, whilst trying on wedding dresses with my mom, she told me that I looked fat and awful in the dress I liked. When I told her how hurtful she was being, she told me that I should be grateful that she told me what she thought instead of laughing at me behind my back. FML
Backhanded
Today, my aunt said that it looked like I lost some weight. I was pleased with this, since I've been trying to lose some. My mom, for some reason, thought it was insulting. She pulled me to aside to assure me that I most definitely don't look any skinnier. FML
Today, I went to my boyfriend's house to meet his parents. Right when I arrived, his little sister said, "She's a lot fatter than you said!" FML
Meet the family
Today, I was invited to my boyfriend's house for dinner for the first time. His mom made a fantastic dinner, so I showed my appreciation by eating the lot. Apparently I was overdoing it because when I looked up everyone was staring. His dad muttered, "Slow the hell down." FML
Thanks for the support
Today, after being bodyshamed by my mother for being too fat (I'm a size 14) and how I shouldn't be wearing shorts because it makes me look ugly and motivates people to comment on my body, I texted my boyfriend to tell him about it. His reply was, "Aww. you cutie. You know she's not wrong." FML
Today, my girlfriend felt bad about a rude comment she made to me, and asked me to insult her in return. I told her she was getting fat. Wrong move; now she's not speaking to me. FML
Today, my boyfriend out of the blue told me I wasn't fat, that my stomach was flat and it was only my butt that was big. I thought that this was a compliment. His response? "Not at all". FML
Sorry, I didn't mean…
Today, I asked a girl at the restaurant I work at if she'd had enough to eat. When she said yes, I said, "Are you sure?" I didn't realize how insulting it sounded until her equally overweight mom was up in my face, demanding to see my manager. FML

She doesn't like you. At least your boyfriend stood up for you?

This is actually a nice FML. I can't remember the last time I saw an FML where the boyfriend stood up for the girlfriend.

She was probably trying to figure out if you were pregnant.

Here's a mind-blowing epiphany for his mom. There is this thing called common courteousy. She should probably study it, I think she could use a few lessons.

When he talks against his mother, to back his girlfriend up. He's a keeper.

You should have said you were pregnant. Then after they started freaking out been like "yeah, just kidding, but I bet you're more comfortable with the fact that I'm just gaining weight now"

It can be a rude thing to say in front of family. It's a personal issue, which should be spoken about in a personal way! Not at the dinner table. Your boyfriend was right. Remember that doesn't give you the right to be mean like her. I would just brush it off. Some people have no class.

Well put. I agree with you completely here.

She said she gained weight, not that she was ugly and needed to turn anorexic! Plus it's not really corporate America you're talking about... More like fashion America.

Wow, she sounds like my stepdad. Some people don't know the difference between being truthful and being subtle.
