Today, while at work, a guy complained about me "touching his fries." At first I thought it was a joke, because he kept smiling, even after I offered him new ones. I realized it wasn't a joke when he threw the fries on the counter. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, a guy asked for hot fries at the drive thru. After receiving the fries, he threw them at the drive thru window, complained that they were too hot, and asked for the manager for burning his mouth. I am the manager. FML
Today, while working at McDonald's, a woman returned to the drive thru because her fries weren't hot enough. She was so angry about coming back that she threw her cold fries at me through the window and told me to "choke on them." FML
Fast food, hold the fast
Today, at work, I’ll admit that I wasn’t in a good mood. I work in fast food, and I went to hand this guy his food without looking and he didn’t grab it. I got frustrated so I FINALLY looked. With an equally as upset look, I noticed the guy didn’t have arms, so I’d just been shoving food in his face. FML
Tipped off
Today, I was taking a table's order. After I finished, the guy told me, "Just FYI, I'm not a tipper." Trying to lighten up the situation, I replied, "It's amazing how many people forget I handle their food." He complained to the manager that I'd threatened him. FML
How very dare you?
Today, while working, a woman complained that she didn't ask for sauce on her sandwich. After examining the sandwich, I realized it was just melted cheese. When I told her, she threw the sandwich at me. FML
Today, while working at a sandwich shop, we had a shortage and could only put so many veggies on one sandwich. I explained this to one man who was grumpy about it, but kept on ordering. I thought everything went well. He thought my face was a good target to launch his completed sandwich at. FML
Today, at work, I put on a smile and went to take an elderly gentleman's order. He looked at me, asked if I'd stick a finger in his sweet tea to make it sweeter, then complained that it was a shame I wasn't "on the menu". FML
Today, while at work, a customer came up to me, stuck his finger in my armpit, then licked his finger. FML
Won't get fooled again
Today, this really cute guy at work kept flirting with me and cracking the funniest jokes. Before he left, he told me how much he enjoyed making me smile. An hour later, I saw my reflection in a mirror, I had a huge piece of food stuck in my teeth. FML
Today, I got threatened with a gun at the drive-thru, all because my coworker forgot to include extra fries in the guy's order. FML

I will never understand how some people can be that rude.

Pisses me off when people treat people in retail/hospitality like shit. Have some respect, there's no need for it.

Geez, I hope he got banned from the establishment. His reaction seems unwarranted to me.

there are enough people in the world, someone will be like that. more often than not though, we all run into them. poor OP hope they don't run into them again

Wow, talking about overreacting.
Enslaved 38
Overreacting, yes, but I also work in the service industry and extremely observant of what should and shouldn't be done. I handle money all day and It's a personal pet peeve of mine when the cashier touches everyone's dirty money and then gets my fries with their hands overlapping the top potion of them. I've also seen it happen when they hand out the drink cups with their fingers gripping the inside part of the cups' lip. I don't think the OP deserved to get the fries thrown but do wish more would be aware of what they're doing and touching. Don't let me get started on the ones that bag my raw meats with my fresh fruit at the grocery store!

Good point #26. But throwing them might be a little to much if you'd ask me. :)

#26 maybe OP does watch what he/she's doing while at work. Sometimes people make mistakes.

Better than your face..

no need for that
yetanothername 3
Why? I read it as better on the counter than on OPs face

When people thumb down my comment I think they would rather fries in the face.

People are ridiculous. I'm so glad I don't work in the food service industry anymore.

I don't know about you, but it'd be quite aPEELing for me to watch him overreact like that.
clairesucks 37
Where did you get the peel part from?
Fairyjoshy 13
Potato peels maybe? It's still stretching it.
elcee1987 18
Yeah that doesn't even make sense.
SeanLewis 17
Lel my brain just automatically linked fries with the act of peeling potatoes. It is kinda far-fetched.

Well, he was smiling because he knew that at some point in his near future, fries were his to be had.
