Today, the girl I've had a crush on for a year finally said she'd go out with me. On the way over to pick her up, she called me and said she couldn't go because she was going out to dinner with her ex-boyfriend to talk things over. She asked if she could use the reservations I had made. FML
Today, I got a text from a girl that I've had a crush on for a long time, asking me out to dinner. I agreed and went to the restaurant. Not long afterwards, I got text from her saying something had come up, so she couldn't make it. As I was walking back to my car, I saw her walk into the same restaurant with another guy. FML
Today, the girl I’ve had a crush on for months told me she scored a Tinder date and she’s so excited to go out with him. Just last week, I worked up the courage to ask her to be my girlfriend and she told me she doesn’t want a relationship, and “doesn’t believe in love anymore.” FML

Today, I went out for dinner with my crush and expressed my love for her. She responded by saying that we should know that this is the real thing, and to do so we needed to date other people and let time bring us together. FML

Not an FML, she was nice to you by letting you in on a "secret" or she knew you liked her and wanted to give you a heads up. A girl I liked did this to me and it was nice rather than an FML.

Were you listening to the words coming out of her mouth? she wanted to tell you something, and you make a date. I have a hard time to believe she's telling you the truth. You probably did something which made her not like you anymore causing her to come up with some crap like this. You weren't dating commitedly to only each other for her to have to tell you. She obviously sugar-coated this rejection.

I think it's an FML because she called and wanted to tell him something. He got his hopes up thinking she was interested. This sounds like role reversal though. I mean technically, girls can ask out boys too but it's basically a proven fact that men like to pursue...so first of all why didn't you ask her out? secondly why is someone in quotes? & thirdly she wasn't the one for you, there is no point in being butt hurt over a girl that isn't interested...find someone new
