Today, on my way to school, I was shouted at by an obnoxious businessman for sitting down on the train when a "full fare paying passenger" was standing. I would normally have given him the seat straight away, except I have a broken leg. I showed him my leg and crutches. He still made me get up. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Asshat
Today, I got on the subway with a broken leg. A kind woman stood up and offered me her seat. Before I could sit down, a guy shoved past me and took it for himself. The woman and I pointed out my cast and crutches, and asked him to give up the seat. He responded by flipping us off. FML
Broke
Today, while sitting in a handicapped seat on the bus, an old man angrily approached me and chewed me out in front of everyone for not leaving the seat empty for "those who actually need it." Then he stormed off the bus, stepping heavily on my broken foot. FML
Taking a stand
Today, I had to run for the train, but because of my bad foot and limping they held the train, much to people's displeasure. No one let me sit down, so for the 20 minute journey, I stood. With a bad foot. FML
Today, I rushed onto the metro to get to work. I found there were no seats left and asked a perfectly healthy guy to let me sit in the handicap spot. He refused to because "being tired" was a handicap characteristic. I have one leg. FML
Today, a man slapped me in the face with his newspaper because I didn't get out of his way fast enough at the train station. I guess he didn't notice I was on crutches. FML
Today, I was sitting on the bus and as I'm quite short my legs were dangling. Some guy, who wasn't looking where he was going, tripped over my foot and went flying. He and everyone else on the bus glared at me like it was deliberate. The man next to me even changed seats in disgust. FML
SHAME! SHAME! SHAME!
Today, I got on a train and spotted a free seat. I rushed over, sat down and sighed with relief, only to realize people were looking at me. That’s when I saw the “Reserved for the elderly or disabled” sign…and the man with a cane standing in front of me. I immediately offered him the seat, but he just shook his head and said, “You’re gonna need it after this shaming.” FML
Get a load of this guy
Today, a businessman in his forties tackled me to the ground in an attempt to take my seat on a crowded train. When that didn't work, he called me a fat bitch and gave me the finger. The seat was given up for me because I'm seven months pregnant. FML
You tried
Today, I offered my seat to an elderly lady on the subway. She quietly refused. Minutes later on a sharp turn, she almost fell down on two people. As I was clearly the youngest in the disability seating section, everyone on the train turned and glared at me. FML
Crotch rot
Today, while on the train to university, I realized it was my stop and quickly stood up to get off. Or I would have, if my leg hadn't gone to sleep and caused me to fall, landing face first into the crotch of the old guy in front of me. FML

OP should have done what Rosa Parks did.

^You mean getting thrown off of the bus? I don't think that would've solved any problems, and probably gotten OP's other leg broken. Besides, what would he be advocating? Cripple's rights?
loloalltheway 23
No, obviously I meant not moving even if the man complains. It is not like nowadays you could get thrown off the bus if you sit down even if a stranger tells you to move.

I was joking. But, according to an Aussie that commented below us, it apparently is grounds to get thrown off of the bus. So OP was ****** either way.

The obvious response is to ignore the shit out of that lady.
aussieaccents 7
False. OP should've hit the man with his crutches.

my question is: where the hell is everyone else on this train? if I was there I would have given up my seat so OP would be able to stay seated. I would also tell him he is acting like a 16 year old spoiled princess and should grow up because only adults are hard working business men, not little high school girls.

He made you get up ? Or did you just not "stand your ground "
7zyzz7 3
OP why did you get up for him?? You need stand up for yourself bro, gees...

I agree. I'd have given him the full fare of my crutch up his ass

Sometimes you just have to ignore people…

It's a bit hard to ignore an asshole businessman shouting at you on public transport.

He should have just stood up for himself...

You mean he should have sat down for himself.

Businessman =/= gentleman
cheshireau 26
He made you? You should of stayed seated. I know what NSW transport is like, don't give in to the bully if you are injured.
OhAidan 7
Would it be classified as harassment?

You're so selfish OP! Being a cripple is no excuse to make a man who works hard for his money stand up. What if his legs get tired? He works hard for his money, so you better treat him right.
VaneJP 15
The business man is being rude and selfish and the man working isn't helping him. If he has tired legs he should deal with it the guy can only stand on one leg the other has two useful ones let him stand

^fail idiot. He/she was being sarcastic. -.-

Holy shit, I wasn't going to complain about getting thumbed down, but is that seriously why? Do people actually think I was being serious? Jesus, where has everyone's sense humor gone? I would've thought the song reference would've at least given you a clue that I was joking. Oh, sometimes...
lilhellian 27
mitm It should be a general common sense rule to almost never take your comment serious lol.

Oh sometimes.... I get a good feeling, yeeaaa.
iamzikang 17
The businessman could have gotten other passengers who are able to stand rather than OP you know, try to think in the perspective of someone who is injured...
MindFreakazoid 10
What a prissy twat. He can stand. Unless he's not human... Pfft, he's a business man, of course he's not human.
CoolRainbowdash 15
People are just assholes.
Becca_BooP 8
Yeah I wouldn't have gotten up. I would've smacked him in the knees with my crutches and then got up saying "now you have a reason to have the seat" he's a low life for making you move OP, sorry you had to deal with that :( hope your leg heals soon!
Welshite 40
Throw a couple coins at him and tell him you are now a full fare paying customer. If he still argues, break his leg with your crutches.
Stealthed 8
Well that escalated quickly.

16- hmm... Two men in bikinis mud fighting. With broken legs.... this should be interesting. Lol.
