Today, I started my period, complete with cramps, diarrhoea, a headache, bloating, and aching legs. Apparently my body didn't get the message that I had a total hysterectomy a month ago, including my ovaries, tubes and cervix. FML

Today, I’m currently battling a cold that caused me to call into work yesterday and, as of this morning, I’ve also started my period and have the most painful cramps ever. Good thing I have the day off from work. FML

Today, I’ve finished all my cancer treatments but my body is putting me through the wringer again. I got my first period after not having one for nearly a year, and with it has come all sorts of hormonal issues including cramping, mood swings, hot flashes, and heinous BO! It’s worse than puberty! If OP is on birth control, especially the 3 month shot, it could cause this. I got the shot one time. Worst 3 months of my life, though I suppose the birth control worked because I didn't have sex for those 3 months that I was bleeding 90% of the time.

BIRTH CONTROL BIRTH CONTROL BIRTH CONTROL!! I used to get really bad periods and I went on birth control and it really helped shorten the days, lessen the cramps, and it even cleared up my acne.

I had that happen to me and my doctor told me to take 3 motrins 3 times a day.

I've been in your shoes. My advice: GO TO THE DOCTOR. My doc gave me temporary meds to regulate mine and get it back on track. It's been a couple of years and no repeat.

I had about a month long period when I first started birth control, it was horrible. Thankfully my body got used to it after a while and my periods are now like clockwork. I hope it gets better for you too OP! I assume you've already gone to the doctor about it but, if not, go!
