Today, my mom barged into my room at three in the morning, demanding to know where I'd been. I'd been in my room sleeping since ten o'clock. In that time she had called the police, all of my friends, and my ex-boyfriend, asking if I was with them. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Not now, mom!
Today, my mother showed up to pick something up from my house. I was sleeping and before I knew it she was in my bedroom, jumping on my bed, saying hi to my ex-girlfriend who she thought was with me. It wasn't my ex, and I doubt that girl will ever want to hang out again after that awkward morning. FML
Leave me alone
Today, I finally had a day off in two weeks and I was excited about getting to sleep in. At 5 a.m., my mom loudly knocked and came in. When I asked her what she wanted, she said she was checking to see if I was asleep. FML
Today, I was so exhausted that I slept through my phone ringing, and later my doorbell ringing. My psycho mom freaked out, and thinking I was in trouble, broke a window to get inside. This all happened before 7 a.m. FML
WTF mom?
Today, I came home at 1 am to find my mom sitting on my couch, ranting about how I'm not supposed to stay up this late. I'm 26 and I don't know how she got into my house. FML
WORRIED
Today, I was woken up at 11:30 am by my mother standing over my bed, screaming at me. I'm 30 years-old, married, and do not live with her. She broke into my house because I didn't answer my phone, because I'm sick and on prescription sleep meds. WTF? FML
Chill out, mom
Today, I got a knock on my door at 3 a.m. Turns out, if I ignore my mother long enough, she will assume I have died and will call the cops. FML
Today my best friend called me at 6 a.m., ranting and accusing me of sleeping with her husband. I live two hours away and haven't seen him in person in over six months. FML
Today, my mother stormed into my room shouting about how I never go anywhere and then tells me to go out "NOW" and do something. As she is pushing me out the door, her boyfriend walks in. FML
Leave me alone!
Today, I texted my mom and had to explain to her that calling me repeatedly at 2 a.m. because you're bored and want to talk is not really a good idea. Seriously, nothing happened, she just wanted to chat because she had nothing else to do. Her response to my message? She started calling me again. FML
Today, my mother woke me up by loudly vacuuming the house. I had to work the next morning, so I asked her what she was thinking. She told me that if I was really tired and needed sleep, I wouldn't have woken up. It was 3 AM. FML

Wow, your mother is odd. How did she not think to look in your bedroom??

Happens. Just like looking all over for your phone/keys while they're in your hand, only on a bigger scale.

At least she cares about you. She should probably have checked your room first, but at least she meant well.

Maybe she had an incredibly vivid dream that you were sleepwalking blindly through a field of bullets and flames stopping every three steps to ask a zombie for more cocaine.

maybe she didnt check your room because it was too obvious? like when you cant find something in the fridge you look everywhere then you realize its right in front of your nose.

I would have checked your room first.

My parents used to do that all the time, they'd have a total freak out, and call the police and everyone they knew, only for mum to remember 2 hours later that I was at netball.

You and your friends robbed a bank. Your ex was the ringleader. You outsmarted the police and would have got away, but then it turned into a nightmare.

Do you often hang out with the police? Are you some kind of Junior Narc? Looks like she wants you to get back with your ex-boyfriend. Is going to bed at 10 pm on a Friday night normal for you? Sounds kinda loserish.

I'm not sure if the time you fall asleep can dictate your social status...

I can see the reason why you could be with your friends... Or with the police... But your ex? No way! ;-)
