Today, I married the man of my dreams. While I was being driven to our wedding reception, I checked my Facebook. My husband had just updated his status to "Me and the bitch just got hitched." FML
Today, I woke up with an engagement ring on my left hand. The same one I refused last month. My boyfriend apparently waited for me to be drunk to propose again last night, and has already posted the pics on Facebook. FML

Today, I logged on Facebook and saw my friend who'd been engaged, then broke the engagement, then got back together announce their new wedding date: three days before my wedding. She also sent me a message asking if I'd move my date. We've been planning our wedding for two years. She got engaged six months ago. FML
Today, I came across a friend on Instagram. She's engaged… to my abusive ex… who has been stalking and harassing me lately. She was wearing the ring he gave me. FML
Today, I found out that my girlfriend of almost four years was breaking up with me when she captioned an Instagram post saying, "Who else besides me is going into 2018 single?" I had already bought an engagement ring. FML
Today, I checked my facebook, and my wife of 5 years was listed as single. I then write on her wall that it is ok to announce to be married. She writes back saying that we have to talk and to come to the kitchen. My wife divorced me over facebook. FML

the ring is actually your personal property, as is your wedding band. the only time it's required that you give it back, is if YOU break off the engagement prior to the marriage. It's considered a form of contract until the wedding day, and upon the marriage becoming official, the ring is considered a gift to the bride/wife. The only time that a judge might make an exception with rings is if the rings are a family heirloom from his side of the family. So... I'd be calling the police and filing a theft charge against him asap.

I know how you're hurting right now. I really do. But you're the one winning the game. She is getting a douche, he is getting a tramp and you are getting your freedom and half of all that's his. And they are not gonna last anyways, trust me on that one. Stay strong.

Who would want a used ring, that isn't a family heirloom? I wouldn't want to wear a ring that came from infidelity and divorce.

Make sure and capture all pics and evidence. I hope you don't live in a community property state. That is considered to be pretty lowdown by a judge as well! Right click and save picture(s), k? I wonder if the other woman knows she is getting second hand?
