Today, my grandma picked up the phone. It was a man asking to speak to me. Instead of giving me the phone she decides to hang up on him, thinking it was some guy trying to "get with me." It turned out to be the call I've been waiting all week for... a call from a huge company about a job offer. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Classic
Today, I got a call and was offered a position with a company that I really wanted to work for. I just had to wait a week to confirm that everything was good to go. Ten seconds after ending the call, they called back and said that they'd called the wrong person. The offer was for someone else. FML
Thanks mom
Today, I checked my inbox and realized I got an email from a potential employer, saying they were having trouble getting a hold of me by phone. They called while my mom was using my phone to look up directions to a place, and she answered, kindly hanging up when they asked for me. FML
Today, a telemarketer called my house phone and asked for my grandpa. We were in the middle of having his wake. FML
Cutie
Today, I got a text from a number I didn’t recognize saying, "Hey, cutie." Thinking it was the guy I met in a bar during a NYE party, I flirted back. Turns out, it was my grandma learning how to use her new phone. FML
Say my name, say my name
Today, after being unemployed for over four months, I got a call from a company I've wanted to work for for over 2 years. After they were about to set up an interview, they called me by a different name. After correcting them, they hung up on me. Turns out they had the wrong number. FML
Today, my phone rang while I was home alone. When I picked up, all I could hear was heavy breathing. Convinced it was one of my friends playing a joke, I said loudly, "Get off the phone, you fucker, and don't call back!" It turned out it was my grandma. She had been having a stroke. FML
Today, while checking my voicemail, I noticed I had received one from a job that I've been trying to get in for months. Too bad they called two weeks ago. FML
The Apprentice
Today, I was to have an important phone interview for a job. I got a call and everything went perfectly, and they said I was hired. Later, I found out that one of my "friends" had gotten one of his buddies to prank call me and make sure the line was engaged when the real interviewer called. FML
Loveless
Today, my grandma called me to tell me that a couple of cute boys stopped by her house to borrow something. She told them all about me, and that I would be interested in them. My love life is so pathetic, even my grandmother is trying to hook me up. FML
Today, my grandmother called. She greeted me by my mother's name. When I told her it wasn't my mother, she apologized and corrected herself, but this time she addressed me as my sister. When I told her it wasn't my sister either, she said, "Sorry, wrong number" and hung up. FML

Ow Why do you live with your grandma anyway? Parents are where its at

Had an elderly aunt living with us. She was forbidden to answer the phone. Set up the same parameters with your grandma, unless she's paying the bills.

You realize that in order to do either of those, she needs A JOB?

well...on the bright side at least she cares enough to be worried about boys "getting with you"......

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say your grandma lives with you, not the other way around. But that's really a sucker of a situation. There's always another option though.

I was thinking *69 the number and screw the interviewer... Just for good measure. And a screw.

There's nothing wrong with living with your grandmother. I live with mine because I'm only 19 and simply don't have the money to move out yet. Granted, on job applications I put my cell phone number so they wouldn't have to talk to her first and so I would be able to answer the phone at all times, but still.

Wow. I think you get to keep grandma's Social Security checks until you get a job. And ban her from the phone.
