Today, my grandfather sent everyone in my family an email thanking them for the photo we got him. I'd bought the frame, edited the picture, and delivered it to him. All everyone else did was show up and complain while the picture was being taken. I'm the only one who didn't get a thank you email. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Cropped
Today, I sent my grandfather a picture of me because he hasn't seen me in years. I guess I should wear makeup next time, because he sent back a heavily photoshopped and cropped version and told me how beautiful I look. FML
Big hugger
Today, my grandpa took the family out for dinner and paid for everyone. He paid the bill and my family and I were waiting by the door. I realised I probably should thank him for dinner. I turned around without thinking and give him a big hug, and said, "Thanks for dinner Grandpa." It wasn't my grandpa. FML
Today, I proudly gave my grandma a picture I had drawn for her. She didn't seem thrilled with it, and afterwards the rest of my family seemed upset. Nobody could fathom why I drew grandma a picture of a graveyard for her 85th birthday. It was suppose to be a bridge. FML
Today, I spent the holiday with my husband's big family. They suggested we take a family picture, but two people were purposely left out of it. I was one of them. FML
Today, my grandpa sent me a letter apologizing for not congratulating me about my graduation last spring. Too bad I don't graduate until May. FML
Thanks, I think?
Today, I received a package at work. Thinking it was something I ordered, I opened it in front of my coworkers. It was a gift from my grandmother: a giant pink, “I Love My Grandson” T-shirt. The worst part? They insisted I put it on and take a picture to send to her. FML
Three is the magic number
Today, my mother-in-law proudly posted a photo of “all three” of her grandsons on Facebook. She has four. Somehow my son was forgotten, even though we live close by and see her regularly. I guess we’re not memorable. FML
Today, I texted a friend offering my condolences over the death of his grandfather. He hadn't been told his grandfather had died yet. FML
Photoshopped
Today, when I visited my grandmother at her nursing home, I was looking at pictures she had of all the grandkids. All were normal graduation pictures etc. but mine was a cutout where she made me skinnier. FML
Cropped Out
Today, my cousins cropped me out of a picture of all six of us at a wedding, then captioned it, "We have such a good-looking family!" FML

Picture's worth a thousand words, OP. Send him one of a pretty birdie.

I think the reason OP is upset is because he/she was excluded. It's not about recognition or receiving anything in return, it's the fact that the person mainly responsible for the photo wasn't included in the thank yous. Which is kinda ****** up.

Sure he didn't say thankyou when you gave it to him, and he was only emailing the people that weren't there when he said thankyou to you and you're overreacting?

Thank you emails don't count for shit anyways. If you don't get a paper card in the snail mail within a week, go over to grandpa's, put your foot through the picture and then one in his nuts. Old people take etiquette seriously. He'd expect no less from you if he snubs you.

Maybe he did send it to you, but input the wrong email? Or misspelled it?

I'm going to guess that when you gave it to him he thanked you in person... Which is by far better than am email

Maybe he didn't have your email adress. No good deed goes unpunished.

Well it's clear who the reject is in the family. ;)

Emails are insincere anyways. Maybe he's sending you a nice card to show you how much he really appreciates you and your effort towards the gift.

It's okay, not every good deed needs to be rewarded, you should just be happy with the fact that you actually cared enough to do all those things and feel good about yourself, and I'm sure your grandfather noticed maybe he just wanted to thank you some other way.

I so agree! My grandmother always would call everyone to thank her for the collaborative gift or party, but for me [who planned and implemented everything] she knew all the hardwork I would do and would later treat me to dinner or give a gift of appreciation. Sometimes good deeds are rewarded much later or in a different way than expected.

Welcome to life. Those who do nothing get credit while the hard-working people are brushed aside.
