Today, my girlfriend confessed to cheating on me. Unfortunately, she's a pathological liar and I can't be sure if it's really true, along with half the stuff she tells me on a daily basis. Love is hard. FML

Today, my girlfriend told me she loved me for the first time. Unfortunately, it was her way of saying that she didn't want to lose me after cheating on me yesterday. FML
Today, my girlfriend confessed that she's been cheating on me for the past two months. Apparently she thought I'd take it well, because when I yelled at her for being a heartless bitch, she stuttered "S-sike!" and tried to play it off as a prank. She's acting like we're still dating. FML
Today, my girlfriend confessed that she cheated on me with my best friend. The best part is that I couldn't tell her a thing, because I actually cheated on her with the same friend before. FML
Today, my girlfriend sent me a text message confessing that she's been cheating on me. Apparently she regretted telling me the truth, because when I confronted her face-to-face, she claimed her roommate had sent it as a prank. She doesn't have a roommate. FML
Today, I found out the hard way that my girlfriend lied about being on the pill four months ago. FML
Today, I found out that my girlfriend has been cheating on me. I also found out that my best friend knew about it all along. When I confronted him, he tried to justify the betrayal by saying that she paid him to keep quiet. FML
Today, my girlfriend of 5 years confessed to cheating on me during my recent business trip. Moreover, she doesn't want to cut off contact with the other guy, because she's afraid of hurting HIS feelings. FML
Today, I caught my girlfriend cheating on me. Now she's threatening to kill herself if I don't forgive her. FML
Today, my girlfriend of 3 years broke up with me because the love advice that she gets on her cellphone every week says that I'm cheating on her. I've never cheated on her and I was planning to propose next week. FML
Today, I confessed to cheating to my girlfriend. She decided to go up to the girl and ask her about it. The girl denied it and said she didn't even know me. My girlfriend walked up to me, called me a liar and punched me in the face. FML

Love isn't hard. Get rid of her and find a woman worth your time and it isn't hard. Dating terrible people is hard, but it's also a choice.

If it turns out she didn't actually cheat on you and you really do love her, I don't necessarily think you should just "get rid of her" as people are saying. However I do agree with people that romantic relationships should be based on trust. Therefore, perhaps you should put your relationship on break and work together to get her some outside help before you continue to develop the romantic side of things. If not professional help, then at least family/friends who care about her. That way you show her that you do still care for her and want to support her, but you distance yourself a bit and avoid being sucked down with her (if she cannot or will not try to change). If she really did cheat on you, then run fast and run far.

Okay hello some things to lay down after reading comments. I'm a pathological liar myself and I completely hate myself for it. It's very, VERY hard to control. I have this because my mother is epileptic, and usually there is some sort of neurological condition passed down from it. My boyfriend does know of my condition and we discussed it for a while. How we maintain trust is whenever I've discovered I lied about something, I immediately tell him. It could be hours, days, or months later that I discover this. He understands that this is not something I and those like me do intentionally. Regarding the situation, I don't know how severe her case is but to me it seemed like she was telling the truth that time. Most of the time we make up lies that make us look better or gives us sympathy. Again, extremely hard to control it. But she may have a very severe case, I've heard of some where whenever any situation pops up in their heads it immediately becomes reality. TL;DR : Pathological lying is a very hard condition to control and those who have it really hate themselves because of their condition. Please don't demonise us, we really do try our best to maintain and stop it

I know 2 people that are pathological liars. One of them is my best friend and I like her lies, they're usually some dumb shit she makes up about celebrities. I like to call her lies stories. The other one is ******* **** bitch with so many problems that lying isn't even close to the worst one. I can almost always tell when my friend is lying but with the other girl it's best to just never believe a word she says. Which is sad because there are times when she might be telling truth but we'll never really know. The problem with both of them is that neither of them seem to know they're liars.
