Today, my dad watched the news and decided to start preparing for Hurricane Sandy by buying $300 worth of long-life and canned food. We live in Australia. FML

Wow. I see stuff like this all the time. I work at a Walmart in the good old state of Georgia and it barely snows in the part I live in, and when we do get snow, its not very much. But every year if people even hear the word 'snow', they rush to Walmart to buy us out of bread, eggs and milk. So ridiculous. Oh yeah and FYL.

Wow, you know what my dad got to prepare for Sandy? Nothing. We live in Massachusetts!

That is how we roll in straya!

Definitely needs a like button! Bahahaha!

Well, there IS one on the bottom right corner of the FML.

I love Australia, I vacationed there with my bestie

Idiot! At least he cares about your safety

...wow. That's a pretty epic fail. Lol

Good thing 300 aus is only like $5

Wow, that's cool. So tell me again, what world do you live in? $300AU is about $305-$310US.

Are you an idiot? I live in Australia. $300 is worth almost the same as US money...

errr only this week the US dollar overtook the AU dollar buy 3 cents fool after years...

Ah, our dollar is worth MORE than the U.S dollar!

I think 119 is more commentating on the purchasing power. Sydney is the second most expensive city in the world after Tokyo.

You live in australia that must make you the idiot then right? One with no sense of humor at that

132: I think i was just kidding.. Something one would expect on this site right?

lol from WA ;)

Maybe your dad was just getting prepared just in case Australia had a large hurricane and "Sandy" reminded him to do that. You should ask him.
