Today, my mom told me that she had great news: we were going to meet my biological parents. I didn't know I was adopted. FML
Today, I discovered that I'm adopted. How? After a great lunch, I asked my uncle how he'd made the salad dressing. He replied, "Haha! It's a secret family recipe, my dear!" I wouldn't have thought twice about it, were it not for my parents' shocked expressions, and the long, awkward silence. FML
Today, I found out that I was adopted. I'm 46 years old with 11 real siblings and no one bothered to tell me until I found the documents in my dead adoptive father's house. FML
Today, I let my step-father know exactly what I thought of him. After a few moments of awkward silence, he leaned towards me and quietly whispered, "Well you're adopted. Your parents never loved you." FML

Today, I decided to come clean with my daughter about her adoptive status within my family. Just after I told her she was adopted, I realized that I have been telling her stories about me giving birth to her. FML
Today, my mom dropped me off at a friend's house. Upon leaving, my friend's mom said how much I looked like my mother. My mother then replied, "That's funny, she was adopted." This was the first I'd heard of this. FML
Today, a guy in my class was talking about himself. He started his story with, "When I was little, I was a ginger." I replied without thinking, "Is that why you got put up for adoption?" Him being adopted was the actual story he wanted to tell. FML

maybe your mom got really fat and didn't want him to know so she said she was pregnant.. then secretly adopted you and he never knew until recently? its a possibility

But then she "gave birth" and all the fat just magically went away (besides the stretch marks)? So what, she went to the hospital when she "went into labor" and told them to fake that she was giving birth and had them actually suck the fat out of her stomach? I actually loved ur comment though and thumbed it up but I was bored and decided to point this out.

No! Think about this a little and it becomes obvious this is just totally bogus. The adoption process is long and tediously legal, there are interviews with the prospective parents, inspections of the home and reams of paperwork to be filled out. I know because I was adopted and one of my grand children was adopted.
