Today, my friends and I noticed that people, no matter what stereotype, pretty much all have the same type of friends: the mean one, the funny one, etc., and started naming off the people in our group who fit into those personalities. We got to the token fat one, everyone looked at me and stopped talking. FML
Today, I was sitting in class when I overheard a group talking about how much they don't like me. When they saw me there, they burst out laughing. FML
Today, I overheard some gossip and learned I’m apparently the department weirdo everybody tolerates, but don’t actually like. It’s like high school all over again. Now, everywhere I go, I can feel my coworkers tolerating me just for being myself. I’ve already cried 3 times. FML
Today, I said something in class and someone mimicked me. In a self-pitying mood, I exclaimed, "Everybody hates me!" The girl behind me then said, "Pretty much." FML
Today, I went out for lunch with one of my co-workers. After work, I talked to one of my friends about how unpleasant the lunch was with him. My co-worker was standing behind me listening in the whole time. FML
Today, I was told that a coworker of mine absolutely hates me. Why? Because sometimes I have a slight stutter, and he thinks I'm mocking his very apparent stutter. FML
Today, I found out that the co-worker I have been dating and falling for is the same co-worker that had been spreading rumors about me and getting me in trouble with my boss. FML
Today, while sitting at a table in a coffee shop, I overheard someone on the next table talking about their horrible boss. I joined in, complaining about mine, and going into great detail about what an arsehole he can be. Turns out, I was talking to my boss's sister. FML
Today, I found out that since there are 3 people with the same name as me at work, I'm known as "the ugly one". FML

**** them, OP. Bitches gon' be bitches until the end of time. Just do your own thing, even if that reduces your friend-count to one. That was my mentality in high school---not to be the baddest ************ in 3rd period (that's a natural skill, pff), but because you simply learn sooner or later that some people out there are never going to change. But you'll meet some really chill people to call friends down the road, I guarantee you. You can even hold me to it, heh.

This is why I am the kind of person who prefers to be nice to everyone but only a few people earn the tag "friend". It is better to have only 5 real friends then to be mister or miss popular and and 50 people hanging round you who would split the second things get bad.

I agree, this reminds me of how I am. I'm the type of person to say hi, and I'm nice to people, but I only have a few true friends. There's like this table, that all the black people hang out at my school (when i was in highschool) and I used to be in it but... I couldn't really trust more than two people at that table, and it was a large group so I just stopped hanging out with them. But looking from the other side.. I really wasn't missing out.
