Today, my boyfriend broke up with me because he says, "There's too much of an age gap between us" and that it makes him "feel like a pedophile". He's only four months older than I am. FML
Today, my 23 year old boyfriend of 2 years was forced to dump me, over the phone, by his mother. FML
Today, my boyfriend, who is 10 years older than me, told me that he never wanted to get married and that he felt bad for wasting all of my time, and he just "doesn't want the responsibility of being in a relationship." After 12 years. I just found out he's dating a younger girl. FML
Today, I found out my boyfriend has been cheating on me. He married someone, and got another girl pregnant. We were together for 8 years. FML

I'm 31, and I don't want to have a baby yet...or ever! Not to worry, OP. You have plenty of time to meet someone who isn't still mentally a child himself.

To play devils advocate, maybe this is a case of miscommunication. He may have asked if she wanted kids in general, and didn't necessarily mean right now. I know if my now husband had told me he didn't want kids, when I was 17, I wouldn't have stayed with him because I know I wanted kids, just not at 17. If however, he wanted one right now, then you dodged a bullet. Baby's are life changing, and you should be able to experience some life on your own before you have one.
