Today, I've gotten so used to people mispronouncing my last name, even after I correct them a gazillion times, I've lost the motivation to correct anyone on it anymore. At this point I'd probably faint from shock if someone who isn't related to me successfully pronounced it correctly. FML

Today, after 26 years of confusion with my parents pronouncing it different ways, and in my mom's case, multiple ways, having to clear up how it's spelled every time I meet someone, I asked my mom how to pronounce my name. She got mad and then pronounced it three different ways while explaining. FML

my names Destry. No one has heard it since the 1920s and its a guys name and means the streets and people always get it wrong it they read it as destiny in all my classes... Do you guys see the 'n' anywhere?

There's a kid at my school who's initials spell STD. Also, the african american girls at my school have really odd names. Be glad it's not a super common name, like Alex. There is 6 kids at my school with names similar to Alex, including myself.

everyone wants what they don't have- people with unique names want normal names, and people with normal names want unique names. i have a unique name and am happy with it!
