Today, it was the elections for Student Council President. I decided to be nice and vote for the only other competitor because it was her birthday. I lost by one vote. FML

Today, it was wacky tacky day at my school. I did not participate, however, I did get voted the tackiest outfit in my school. FML
Today, at the elementary school where I teach, the kids all voted for their favorite teacher. I was the only one to receive zero votes. When I asked a small group of students why no one voted for me, one boy replied "because you're the ugliest". FML
Today, I had to give a speech as part of my campaign for school captain. I was rather happy with it and so I told another candidate my speech. Apparently it was a good idea as minutes later that same candidate stole my entire speech, leaving me looking like a complete idiot. FML
Today, as the new school year starts, we had the traditional class council election, where I bravely nominated myself for class president. As our new teacher tallied the votes on the board, I corrected her with a minor detail: "Ma'am, its Lance A. not Lance O." She responded, "What Lance O? That's your score! Zero!" FML
Today, I ran for editor-in-chief of a magazine. I spent hours working on my speech, and offered a bunch of new ideas to increase readership. My opponent just said that she, "loved the organization". I lost by a 4-1 margin. My opponent later announced her plans for next year. They were all of my ideas. FML
Today, due to nepotism, I lost to a competitor. They rarely contributed to the competition and were literally distracted all the way through. Their quality was pretty low as well, but they were friends with the judge. FML
Today, in my class I was nominated for the guy with the worst hairdo. I don't know what is worse, the fact that I was nominated or the fact that I felt let down when I did not win. FML
Today, I applied for the health and safety representative role at work as an add-on to my role. I convinced a co-worker to put his name down along with mine so I wasn't the only one. He didn't want it so much, and it went to a vote… which I lost. FML
Today, I was elected "class mom", even though I didn’t want to do it. I was also handed several envelopes in the hectic school hallway, containing parental cash contributions for the year. I lost several of the envelopes while rushing to my car, and now have to contribute €100 instead of €25. FML
Today, I had to crown the homecoming queen, a responsibility of mine as class president. It just happened to be that the queen is my ex-girlfriend that I still love, escorted by her new boyfriend. FML

That and if you want OTHER people to want you for class president, because you're truly the best choice, YOU should want you for class president badly enough to vote for youself. Dirty politicians.

Ah. Yeah, in an election, that's not a good idea, generally. If you think about it, your vote for the opponent can be interpreted as an assertion that you think she's the better candidate. But it's okay! If it was that close, you should have a good chance next time and now you know better!

That's the stupidest idea ever. It could only ever have done exactly what it did, or nothing and been meaningless. I find it hard to believe you would even consider doing something for which you would get exactly nothing, or lose everything with. I guess you really didn't want to win. It's like playing Russian Roulette just because you have a revolver in front of you, even though you want to live. You should tell that person what you did, maybe then they would appreciate your stupid present. I bet they'll laugh at you though.
