Today, it's my 21st birthday. My parents' gift was a case of non-alcoholic beer, to "prepare" me for when I "turn 21." My parents can't even remember how old I am. FML
Today, it's my birthday. My dad was supposed to take me to get a tattoo, but instead he went to the bar, got drunk, and told me how I was the biggest mistake he and my mom have ever made. FML

Today, my dad had his 45th birthday and got so drunk he couldn't walk. He crawled along, crying, saying that his whole life was a failure because he had "a shitty job, a fat girlfriend, and a dipshit son who's never going to move out." I haven't moved out because I'm 18 and still at high school. FML
Today, I turned 18. My parents gave me a card that read "now that you're 18, it's time for some boozy fun... you can do all the things you did before but legally!" Taped to the inside was my fake id that I "lost" three months ago. FML
Today, my estranged father, who is a cop, decided to show up to my 17th birthday party. He immediately began arresting people for underage drinking. Way to mend fences, dad. FML

Trust me, I SO feel you. Is your dad middle eastern? Because mine is prohibiting me from getting a second peiricing, a tiny little stud in my ear when im already eighteen, because he literally thinks im going to get another and another until i end up with ten eyebrow and nose peircing and a million tattoos. Sigh

It's okay I feel for ya. My own mother cut me off on my 21st after 7 drinks "just incase" say okay cool dad. Get your ID back and go out to celebrate a different night.

Seven drinks is excessive. Not necessarily going to make you an alcoholic for life, but I'd say that's about time to put the glass down.

Your an adult so he can't legally take your license. Did he just take it or did you give it to him? If you gave it to him then that would be dumb. I would be getting that shit back somehow or going to the DMV.
