Today, it's been exactly 2 years since I graduated college. I make less money in my full-time job now than I did working part-time in college. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, after six years, two raises, and a promotion, thanks to student loans I make less disposable income than I did when I first started this job. FML
Skill issue or…?
Today, my sister started a full-time job with a good pay despite having no prior work experience and being a college freshman. Meanwhile, I've graduated with two degrees, have been working two jobs for the last five years, and still can't get a full-time position anywhere. FML
Long time coming
Today, it's been two years since I graduated with my master's. It's also been the same amount of time since I've been looking for a job. I got an e-mail yesterday from a company for a telephone interview which I was happy about. The day of the interview, my phone is disconnected. FML
Today, after spending about 5 years to go back to school, get my life together and get a real job, I now make about $100 less a month. I used to work as a dishwasher. FML
Today, was my graduation from a prestigious university. In two days I start working at a hot dog stand. FML
Winning
Today, It's been two years since I graduated from high school. The people in my grade excluded me from social activities and wouldn't talk to me. I dropped out of college when the same trends ensued and people treated me the same. For now, at 20, I serve drive-thru to people who bullied me, on their way to party. FML
Hang in there
Today, it's the third anniversary of when I started looking for a new job. I'm still working at the job that made me want to get a new one and I haven't even had an interview for another one in almost two years. My Master's degree on the wall is looking more and more like a roll of toilet paper. FML
Today, I found out that my friend makes more money than I do. She's a high school dropout and working at a retail job at the mall. I went to college for four years to get my job. FML
Stay in school, kids
Today, my sister and I were talking about our salaries. She just graduated from university and will start working soon. It turns out that she'll earn more money than me. I have been working for 4 years. However, my earnings are still less than those of a worker with no experience. FML
Alexa, play "Wendy" by The Beach Boys
Today, it’s been 2 years since my highschool ex dumped me after I went to college. Since then, I fell into depression, dropped out, and am now trying to get back on my feet working at Wendy’s. Meanwhile, she’s been having the time of her life, hanging out with bands, and got rich from TikTok. FML

Taking a pay cut is common when you're breaking into a new industry- you'll be rolling in cash if you stick to your career path!

Weird 17, I was thinking the same thing about your comment.

it's funny (somewhat ironic) how 17 says something about disliking 5s comment and ends up getting more dislikes than 5

Gotta teach him a lesson about being a dick.

This is actually a common trend I've noticed on FML, and it's pretty funny. There's certain unspoken rules that you just don't cross, or else.

This happens way more than you may think. Just put in as much effort as you did in college and you'll find the right job

Depending on your major you can make bank or have a horrible time finding a decent paying job.

Also if you're personality doesn't fit the degree you have, you're chances are significantly lowered
