Today, in preparation for a third interview for my dream job, I spent an hour selecting the perfect outfit. I hung everything on my bedroom door and went to shower. My dog decided to play tug-of-war with the clothing and redesign the shoes. The only thing to survive unscathed was the hanger. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I had an interview for my dream job. I spent all of last night preparing, researching the company, and making sure everything was perfect. My interview was for 8am. I woke up at 10:30 to an alarm that had not gone off. FML
The old switcheroo
Today, I had a job interview. I didn't have any clothes suitable for the interview, so I went to the store early and bought some there. After the interview, I went to return the clothes, because they were so expensive. The hiring manager saw me. FML
Lucky or what?
Today, I put on what I thought was my "lucky" sweater for a job interview. Halfway there, I noticed my reflection in a car window and realized it was covered in cat hairs of various colors and a faded spaghetti stain from last week that apparently hadn't come out in the wash. FML
Job interview from hell
Today, I went for a job interview. While waiting to be called in, I noticed a tiny thread hanging from my shirt. I pulled it to fix it but almost unraveled half my sleeve before the interviewer walked in. I spent 30 minutes holding my arm against my side like I was hiding evidence. FML
Unprepared
Today, I rushed to an early job interview, rehearsed answers in my Uber, then realized at reception I’d zipped my suit jacket into my backpack and was wearing my old college hoodie over dress pants. The receptionist smiled politely while I tried to explain and I somehow made small talk about rugby. FML
What was I thinking?!
Today, I was prepping for an interview after several months of unemployment. I had just finished brushing my teeth when I reached back and grabbed a towel behind me to wipe my face. Turns out it wasn't a towel, it was my newly dry-cleaned suit jacket that my wife had put there for me. FML
Today, I was at a second interview for a job that I really need as I got laid off last month. Midway through the interview, I went to cross my legs and realized I had 2 different shoes on. FML
Today, while waiting for an interview at the career that I've been spending months tailoring my résumé for, I was thrown up on by my only competitor. Guess who got the job. FML
Today, I had a job interview. I have major OCD, and I had to sit in a room with a man covered in cat hair, struggling to even survive for an hour and a half. FML
Today, I went to collect my clothes out of the dryer. Thinking it would be fun for my small dog, I brought her with me. I put her down and let her sniff around while I put my clean clothes in a basket. I turned around from putting more clothes in the dyer to catch her peeing in my clean clothes. FML

I think you might still get the job if you wear your birthday suit right ;-) but, seriously, I apologize for my kind. We can't help it; we love tug-of-war. FYL, OP!

Show up naked! There's a position that just opened up from some tight-ass who determined that flirty fun in the office was "sexual harassment." You'll get the job if you show them you are willing to "play ball."

YDI for not training your dog... Maybe next time spend an hour with the dog instead of clothes?

Maybe OP's dog is still young. Unless you have insanely good training, your average dog tends to be a pain in the ass for the first 2-3 years

Which is why the situation requires attention and training. My new pup is 6 months old and he knows better than to do this. However, if I ever end up eating my words ill be sure to return to let you know.

There must be something else you can wear that's nice, OP. I wouldn't focus too much on the outfit, but more on what you're going to say and how you'll act.

Yeah, I honestly agree with the people saying YDI. I'm a dog owner and he's still 1 year old and eats everything he sees. I have baby gates separating him from where he can't go, and I'm working with his training. Unless you've had this dog for like, 2 hours, you knew before hand how he/she would act.

It's times like this you wish the dog just ate your damn homework instead.

My dog really did eat my homework once. I got it on videotape (from a 15 pound shoulder mounted VHS recorder). The hardest part was getting the Alpo between the pages so he couldn't just lick it off.

And thus cats are better.

Looks like you are gonna have to wear a hanger to work, OP.

Clothes to an interview are not too major...but you should have a back up set in your closet for something...

Clothes do not the interviewee make. (But, of course, you feel more confident when you look your best,)

I feel for you, but i just can't say I am surprised. The majority of dog owners are terrible at controlling their pets.
