Today, in algebra, I took out my notebook. My Chinese teacher was so impressed with my "Chinese" writings on the cover that I'm now her "favorite student". Those "Chinese" symbols are actually Japanese, but I wanted someone to like me so badly that I didn't correct her. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, at a tutoring center, one of the tutors looked at my worksheet and laughed. She then showed all the other tutors my mistakes and they laughed along with her. The best part? They all speak Chinese and they think I can't understand them. I'm Chinese. FML
Today, I got a perfect score on my French quiz, and I was told to have my mom sign it. What I didn't realize was that all the way at the bottom she wrote "Good Nathaly!" and "I love you!" surrounded by little hearts. The teacher hung it up anyway. FML
My words exactly
Today, the Chinese student I've been teaching English to got on stage in front of hundreds of people to read her final essay. She ended with, "What a fucking day." I don't swear, and I no longer have a job. FML
Today, I had to make a poster for social studies. I decided to write "Nice ass" in hieroglyphics. Turns out my teacher can read hieroglyphics. FML
Today, my art teacher showed off a painting of his name he got in Japan. I can read Japanese, and it actually says "Old idiot". I really don't want to break it to him. FML
Today, I collected my students' notes in class to check them. One girl, who is always drawing weird anime crap in her sketchbook, turned in just one piece of paper that read, "FUCK YOUR CLASS." FML
Today, in calculus, our substitute teacher told me I was smart. Everybody in the class, including my friends, burst out laughing. FML
And they call it puppy love…
Today, I gathered the courage and wrote a love letter to put in the girl I like's school bag, at the end of classes. I felt anxious for a response. Her bag turned out to be her cousin's, and I became a joke in the classroom. FML
Nice try
Today, I cheated on a math test by writing a couple of equations on my hand. Totally satisfied, I handed my test in, feeling like I had aced it. As I was heading toward the door, I happily waved goodbye to my teacher. She saw everything. FML
Slipping up
Today, I was teaching a class when a student pointed out that I'd used the wrong "your/you're" while writing on the board. FML

The Japanese language sometimes borrows symbols from Mandarin so you both are correct.

Kanji in Japanese looks exactly like Chinese. Kanji is Chinese characters used in Japanese. Hiragana and katakana are the different ones. I guess OP only wrote in kanji. Or the teacher doesn't know much Chinese like me even though we are Chinese.

Ummm, if you were in Algebra when you took out your notebook, how was your Chinese teacher able to comment???? Are they one and the same???

If they are Kanji then she could actually be legit. The Japanese alphabet Kanji means "Chinese letter" and some Kanjis overlap between Japanese and Chinese.

actually japanese context ran out of symbols so they borrowed some chinese symbols

Those characters could have been kanji…

The Chinese and Japanese share an alphabet. The Japanese have three in all.

The Chinese writing system and the Japanese are the same so where ever you are in Asia you'll still be able to understand the written language even if the spoken language is different.

Well that's not so bad cause it's a good thing if your teacher likes you
