Today, I went to get my blood drawn for the first time. After I explained to the nurse how nervous I was, she replied, "Oh honey, don't worry! This is my first time too!" FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I was telling my mom that I was really nervous about going to the gynecologist for the first time. Her response, "Oh don't worry, it's not like it's the first time you've spread your legs!" FML
Today, I had to get bloodwork done. I'm deathly afraid of needles. The whole lobby heard me scream as soon as the nurse said 'hello'. FML
Today, I went for bloodwork. It's routine for me, so I was ready for the nurse to put in the needle and take my blood. It went in fine, but right after, she slowly pulled the needle out, then wondered why the blood stopped. She then moved it back and forth in my arm while I panicked silently. FML
Today, I went to a blood drive. The nurse taking my blood mentioned that she'd been called in on her day off, and she swore she wasn't drunk. I didn't know what to do, so I just smiled and blinked back tears as she savaged the vein in my arm. FML
Blood drive
Today, I tried donating blood for the first time because my company was hosting a blood drive. Right after telling everyone I wasn't afraid of needles, I fainted before they could even use one. I woke up surrounded by phlebotomists offering me juice while my coworkers whooped like I'd just scored a goal. FML
Today, I donated blood for the first time, and all the nurses kept complimenting on how good my veins were. That's the nicest thing anyone has said to me in the past 2 months. FML
Panic!
Today, I was at the doctor and I had to get a fingerstick in the lab to get blood drawn. There was a 6 year-old boy waiting to go next. He was terrified. His mother told him to, "Watch this brave girl go first." I panicked and began to hyperventilate. The kid fainted. FML
Today, I decided to give blood for the second time. I felt excrutiating pain when she stuck the needle in my arm. Another nurse came running over in a panic. Apparently my inexperienced nurse had put it in my tendon instead of my vein. FML
Today, I tried to get over my childhood phobia of syringes by donating blood. The phlebotomist hadn't even touched the needle before I started sobbing hysterically. They made me leave. FML
Today, I went to the doctor to get a blood test and I started crying when I saw the needle. I planned on becoming a doctor. FML

I think she made a funny joke, but you were too nervous to get it.

This happened to me the first time I was donating blood. The guy messed up and put the needle through my vain, which bled into my arm. I never donated blood again.

Bled into your arm? Did he forget to apply pressure? Most veins will clot up in less than 30 seconds with pressure unless there is an underlying bleeding disorder.

When I was in labor with my son I had a crappy nurse miss my vein 6 times trying to hook me up to an IV. Then, after she finally got it in she stepped on the line, broke it in half, and shot my blood all over the delivery room floor. Then the guy with epidural came in, laid a foot long needle on the table and made me sign a release that said if he punctured my spinal fluid I wouldn't sue. Doctors are so scary.

Lol shot your blood all over the delivery room? Unless you have some sky high BP, or she hit an artery, I call BS.

Oh gosh, that is the oldest joke in the book when it comes to nurses. They only hear I am scared to be stuck 100 times a day. The worst to whine are men and people covered in tattoos.
