Today, I was setting up comcast cable boxes for my house. I had the packaging everywhere when I finished. Looking admirably at my job, I backed out my door, and stepped on bubble wrap, scaring myself. I flailed, fell, reached out, grabbing one of the cable wires. I pulled the cable box and my modem off. Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Not fair!
Today, I finally got a cable box for my TV. When I was connecting the cable, my tv fell and shattered the screen. FML
Today, I was driving home from a long day at work fixing people's electronics. When I got home, I got a call from work saying I needed to go back and help a customer with their TV again. When I got there, after an hour of driving, I realized I'd accidentally kicked the power cord out. FML
Today, while cleaning up, I dropped a box of thumbtacks, spilling them all over the floor. As I fumbled to pick them up, the power went out. FML
Today, I was lying on the floor playing with my cat. I was holding her in the air, when my sister tripped over the TV cord and unplugged the cable. The TV made a loud fuzzy sound, I got scared and threw my cat in the air. I got scratched in the face by a falling cat. FML
Today, at work, I went to place a small item on a shelf. The shelf fell on me, trapping my hand. While lifting it, the top shelf fell against my chest and the products all dumped on my face. I then realized the shelves were only held up by zip ties. FML
Today, I finally finished vacuuming my downstairs. Instead of finding the wall outlet and unplugging the vacuum, I triumphantly tugged the cord from across the room to release the plug from the wall. It flew at me at top speed and hit me in the face. FML
Not getting my deposit back
Today, I was moving out of my old place. While walking around to make sure I would get my damage deposit back, I stepped on my roommate's lipstick and smeared it all over the white carpet. Then I tripped on the phone cord and ripped the whole thing out of the wall. FML
Today, after I had finished vacuuming, I ripped the cord out of the outlet and it hit me in the face cutting both my top and bottom lip. FML
Shocking reaction
Today, I was replacing some outlets for work and I got surprise-electrified. I threw my wire strippers in the air while yelling, "Oh fuck me." The homeowner and his 2 kids were standing 3 feet away. He was not happy. FML
Slapstick
Today, my laptop plug got stuck in the wall outlet. I stood there for 10 minutes violently trying to yank it out. My boss came in and screamed at me for making noise. I was angry, so I glared at him and yanked on the plug as hard as I could. It dislodged itself noiselessly and I fell over. FML

So....you fell and pulled your modem and cable box down to the floor? Is that all? If you didn't break/ruin anything...sit there and pop the bubbles, then get up and clean up your mess then put everything back on the desk or whatever you had it on. Then what you should do is stop whining about falling on your bum.

"Today, I pulled down a cable box from where I had placed it. I then picked it up and put it back. FML" Really? Your life is so fragile that you consider this an FML?

Bubble wrap is fun and you should be happy that you have some.

Today I was feeling happy and content, then I realized that I don't have any bubble wrap. FML!

Am I the only one who does not see the FML here? "I pulled the cable box and my modem off." He didn't say he pulled the jack out of the wall, or broke the box. Usually the first thing to happen when you yank on a coax or ethernet cable is that the cable comes unplugged. The solution to this would to be to plug the cable back into the jack, and put the box back on the table... and he has bubble wrap.

does anyone else feel that a "complete" job where coax cables a readily grabable by a flailing human is not really worth admiring?
