Today, I was riding my bike with my parents. They make me wear a helmet when I'm with them. Some college age kids drove past and yelled, "Nice helmet!" My mother then told me, "They like you!" I'm sixteen and my helmet is blue. With flowers. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I went to an amusement park with my family. A couple of cute girls started talking to me, telling me how much they liked my dreads. Seeing this, my mother stepped up next to me, patted me on the shoulder, and said, "This here is my little baby, treat him nicely!" Thanks, Mom. FML
Safety first
Today, my mother finally pressured me to wear my old helmet while riding my bike. Halfway through my ride, 3 spiders came crawling out of it and onto my face, causing me to lose control of the bike and crash head-first. FML
Confused
Today, I was out shopping with my mom. While we were walking, a guy in a car honked at me. I'm not used to compliments, so I was pretty flattered and flashed him a smile. He looked back at me, confused, then shook his head and pointed at my mom. FML
Today, I was complimented on my hat by two different people. I wasn't wearing a hat. FML
Today, I found out while skiing that my dad likes to call me Pimple because I have a pink coat and white helmet. He has tried to squeeze me. FML
Today, a guy from work that I barely know gave me sunflowers for my birthday. He told me, "You mentioned they were your favorite." I mentioned it to my family at home a few days ago. FML
Today, I was volunteering at a school, as I walked past the swings these two girls smiled and said "wow, you are so pretty!". I smiled back and said "awww, well thank you!." As I walked past I hear them laughing, "she actually believed us." FML
Mostly OK
Today, I told my parents how grateful I am for having them in my life and that not many kids are as lucky as me. My mom texted me after I went out 10 minutes later: "Are you OK? You seemed depressed earlier." FML
Today, I was showing my 6-year-old son how easy and safe it is to ride a bike. I didn't notice a pebble, bust up my leg, and my son is now terrified of bicycles. FML
Dad jokes FTW!
Today, my father and I were out in town when a lady walked up and commented on what a great looking couple we were. My dad puts his arm around me and says, "Thank you! We've been together for 17 years." FML

At least you are being safe... I had a friend die because he wasn't wearing a helmet. your parents are smart.

As much as I personally would like a blue helmet with flowers, I understand. I'm a college kid, and I'm willing to risk brain injury than be seen using a helmet on campus.

this would be the time to invest in a new helmet.

This is not a f*ck'in 'FML'. My cousin (who I was quite close to) died becuase he wasn't wearing a f*cking helmet! The doctors said he would have lived if he had a helmet on. So stfu, this is rediculous. =O

I work on a Traumatic Brain Injury floor in a rehab hospital. Trust me, it's much cooler to wear a helmet that it is to have a brain injury. On a weekly basis, I see people admitted to rehab who could have easily prevented their brain injury. They have to relearn how to walk, talk, and think, which is not an easy task after diffuse brain injury! Keep on wearing a helmet!

God forbid your mother actually cares about your safety and well-being. And your life must definately be ****** if a whole group of guys you'll never seen again laughed at you.. Get over yourself and don't come back to this site until you actually have something to bitch about.

if those guys were lame enough to shout out a rude comment about a helmet then.. they are not worth your embarrassment :)

long story short, my brother was rear ended off his bike 2 years ago into the rear-window of the car in front of him, splitting his skull and almost killing him. I had a car run a stop-sign and caused me to go over my handle-bars headfirst into a concrete-sidewalk. even with a helmet, I was unconscious for 25min and had a wicked concussion and headache. if that's with a helmet....you'd have to be F*#king retarded or pathetically insecure not to wear one.

So don't go ride a bike with your parents. #175, maybe you and your brother shouldnt be such dumb asses. I've ridden a bike without a helmet plenty of times and have yet to get owned.
