Today, I was on a ladder at work, fetching some stock from one of the storage shelves. Some teenage kid thought it would be fucking hilarious to grab the ladder and violently shake it. He hadn't bet on me being startled enough to fall off and fracture my elbow on the floor. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I spotted an elderly man trying to use the ladder at work. Knowing customers aren't supposed to use these, I went over and helped. Not only did I fall from the ladder, but I landed on the old man's foot, breaking my elbow and fracturing his toe. FML
Today, I was standing on a desk at work to run wiring in a suspended ceiling, since we have no ladder. My phone rang, I rushed to answer it, tripping and smashing my leg. It was my boss, calling to tell me he was bringing over a ladder. FML
Today, I was standing on a step ladder to reach the batteries on top of my fridge so I could change the ones in my TV remote. My sister thought it would be funny to shake the ladder and see what would happen. I now have a broken leg and a TV remote with dead batteries in it. FML
Today, while working at Walmart, I was walking the sales floor and passed the end of an aisle. I saw a customer coming at me from the corner of my eye, so I jumped backwards. I hit a display case, and watched it topple over before turning to apologize to the customer. It was a ladder. FML
Roofing hell!
Today, I was working on a client's roof. Some neighborhood kids thought it would be hilarious if they knocked over my ladder. I was stuck on this roof in serious heat. I caught the attention of a pedestrian to come to my rescue. It was a little old lady. She gave me the finger and left. FML
Hang tight
Today, as I was pulling wire for an addition to my boss's house, I was on a ladder drilling a hole when my coworker kicked the ladder out from under me and left me hanging from a rafter twenty feet in the air. To make matters worse, I had to pee. I'm now in my car with dead arms and wet pants. FML
Today, at work, I went to place a small item on a shelf. The shelf fell on me, trapping my hand. While lifting it, the top shelf fell against my chest and the products all dumped on my face. I then realized the shelves were only held up by zip ties. FML
Today, while I was on the floor stocking a bottom shelf, a man walked up behind me and humped the back of my head. He ran away laughing. This kind of shit happens all the time. I hate my job. FML
Today, at my job working retail, I had just finished cleaning and straightening a whole aisle. This kid watched me do the whole thing. When I was done, he stuck his arm out, and ran it down the whole shelf, knocking everything off it. His mother just grabbed his hand and walked away. FML
Get help, moron!
Today, I fell and impaled my leg on a steel rod at work. The first guy to respond to my agonised cry for help must’ve been a total moron because he thought it was a prank and yanked on the rod to see how it worked. Then he asked if I did it on purpose to get a day off. FML

I do hope so, too. But I'm not sure whether the lawyer fee or the medical bill will cost OP more...

44- many lawyers only get paid if you win. To cover their costs when they don't win, they cut out a big chunk of the damages payments (when you win, obviously) as lawyerly fees. So OP wouldn't have to pay them, but would profit significantly less.

It's battery. Go get 'em, OP.
Sputnikspak 13
Yeah, you can press criminal charges against someone for that.
ThatsAfurry 9
Technically not battery because three kid didn't actually touch Op, sadly the best that could probably be is negligence
wallandpiece 16
It is battery because he "applied immediate and unlawful bodily force". The force may not have been bodily but OP was standing on a ladder at the time which may be considered an extension of oneself just like clothes are.

Well what the hell, did he expect you not to fall? Ugh, that sucks, I hope it feels better soon.

Ya, shame he hasn't developed his frontal lobe yet...

Well, what did he expect to happen? You're on a ladder, and he basically throws you off of it. Beat his ass, OP. Beat it up real nice.
LarryLaDouche 13
Why didn't OP do an elbow drop? You had the height man! It would have turned his skull into a bowl for his brain tapioca pudding.
CueTheMusic 22
I feel slightly ashamed to be a teenager right now. He gives us a bad name. Hope you're better soon OP.
BostonBear 33
I would've beat his stupid ass for that
Joe9024 20
I bet the kid ran away like a bitch just so that wouldn't happen

Report his ass to security, get them banned from the store.
Stalkerloo 11
As much as I agree with you, your picture creeps me out too much to really do anything.
CrissyyyS2 22
Banned from the store? No. That's too lenient.
Sandman366 6
Banned from life could work...
ThriceWritten 21
You should've fallen on him. He would have deserved it, the jerk. I wish you well, OP.
