Today, I was fired for the second time in as many days. I received a letter notifying me that I would no longer be working for the company, effective immediately. When I did not attend work the next day, I received a phone call firing me for not turning up. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I was fired for actively seeking employment with another company. Because of having just been fired, the other company will no longer give me the time of day. FML
Today, my boss called me and asked why I haven't been showing up to work. I didn't show up because he fired me last week over the phone. Then he fired me again for not showing up to work. FML

Today, I was fired from a job I didn't have. The manager in charge of calling me to tell me if I got the job never called, and never called me back when I left messages. The only time he called me was to fire me for not coming to orientation, which, by the way, he never called to tell me about. FML
Today, I was fired for not attending a mandatory meeting. I confronted my boss and told her I never heard anything about it, she told me that daily reminders had been sent out via email for weeks. She then discovered that she failed to enter my email address in the system. I was still fired. FML
Surprise!
Today, I returned to work after taking two days off to find I'd been fired. Why? For not being at work on those two days. Everything was agreed in writing, all trace of which has mysteriously vanished. I can't work until HR sorts it out, and nobody can tell me how long that'll take. FML
Today, on my first day of work, I got fired after 45 minutes. FML
Today, I was enjoying my first vacation day in 2 years. My boss then called me to come in, saying it was an emergency. I got to work and got fired. Yes, my boss made me come in just to fire me. FML
Today, I won employee of the month. I was then fired for being late. FML
You're fired!
Today, my employer fired me, less than a week before I could become permanent full-time staff. FML
Today, I was fired on my second day of work after a year and a half of unemployment. Apparently, my "tendency to solve problems instead of just accepting them made the other workers uneasy". FML

I would have told them how unprofessional they are for not knowing that I had been fired already

Why is anyone saying "sue"? She was sacked and some moron of a manager failed to realise they sent a letter. Sue for what? being sacked twice? Is that a legal issue in your universe? A definite FML moment but not a lawsuit pending you ******* morons.

Does that mean you get two unemployment checks?

Okay, so now you need to walk in with a band and give your notice that your quitting letter. Throw it at the boss, make sure it lands at his feet. Let the band play badly and leave. Seen it on you tube. Funny as hell!

I feel for you. I just got fired on Wednesday, it was only my 4th week. I worked really hard and was improving but that didn't matter. They proved that it's all about who you know and not what you know, they gave my position to the bosses, doctors, daughter. I had other interviews I could have gone to, if I had known what was going to happen. Now I will probably be jobless for several more months. 2011 has been the worst year.

With the economy the way it is you should turn around and ask for an application, so anywhere else you Apply and/or get hired will seem like a godsend

They not like you much? Seems to be overkill.

Not a serious company. The fact that they don't even know who they're hiring and who they're firing is the least of their major organizational problems. Such a company is doomed to fail and go bankrupt if they don't fix that.

I would of told them about the paper you had gotten from them. Than maybe they would understand why u didn't show up and might of gaved u back ur job.
