Today, I waited until the last minute to do my Christmas shopping. Today, I also discovered that my bank account has been frozen due to suspicious activity. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Christmas is canceled
Today, I got an email that my Amazon account was probably hacked, and they have gone ahead and canceled all orders that seemed suspicious. Two days ago I was celebrating that I'd finished Christmas shopping early. Never mind. FML
Today, I finally decided to go Christmas shopping. It's only once I arrived that I realized that I had forgotten my wallet. FML
Make it make sense
Today, I had to contact my bank because their fraud department thought me buying gifts for 7 different people for Christmas was fraud. It wouldn't be a big deal, except they then wouldn't accept the original purchase and I had to go to the website to get the purchase to go through a second time. My bank is paranoid. FML
Surprise!
Today, my bank, being overly paranoid about fraud, declined my Christmas purchase on Amazon because I usually don't spend that much all at once. Instead of Amazon simply asking to try the card again, they instead switched to a different card in the wallet. Which would be fine, except it's a shared family account. FML
Today, I noticed that even though I got all my Christmas shopping done a month earlier than usual, I forgot to put anything in the mail. FML
Gangsta
Today, I went to my local bank after getting an email from them concerning unknown purchases. Four hours later, I was still in police custody. Someone had been using my account to purchase guns and drugs. FML
Today, my credit card got blocked. Apparently, my bank thinks buying a $130 flat iron online is suspicious. FML
'Cause I'm a Criminal
Today, I woke up to find both of my bank accounts frozen. My bank informed me that the IRS had ordered a freeze on my assets because of back taxes owed, and would not unfreeze them until the money is paid. The amount? $2.47. FML
Today, I discovered my mom has been using my credit card to buy everyone's Christmas presents. FML
Sleigh bells
Today, my mom and I went to Best Buy for some Christmas shopping. She picked up some presents for me and told me not to look at what she was buying. When we got to the register, she didn't have enough money, and I ended up having to buy my own presents. FML

The EXACT same thing happened to me. But I have very few gifts left to buy, and my bank (Scotiabank) is awesome and will unfreeze my account and give me a new card and PIN right on the spot.

Buy everyone a gift card the day after black Friday. You can be totally relaxed for the holidays.

Yes it can... X-mas. Smart.

But that takes out "Christ", which is the reason we celebrate, even though Jesus was born in March.

then what the hell is the point of christmas? didnt they say jesus was born in december?

I think they kinda guessed his birth in December but modern science has been able to pinpoint it to March. I could be wrong though.

It's in December because they didn't want to change the Pagean holiday TOO much so that they'd be easier to convert! Isn't religion (and the associated misinformation) grand?

That sucks! I've done that before, just call them your bank to straighten it out. Be prepared to have all your personal information with you before talking to them.

Haha this happened to my dad as well. He rarely uses the particular credit card that he purchased everything with, and the next morning, the bank called at like 7:45 am to report suspicious activity and required that he confirm all the receipts. Sucks, but I'm glad the bank does their job!
