Today, I waited patiently in the airport as my flight was repeatedly delayed. After 5 long hours I approached one of the attendees to discover that the plane had left 5 minutes ago. FML

Today, I was stuck at the airport overnight waiting for my flight for about 5 hours. I then went and looked at the departures board. It said that my flight had already departed. FML
Today, due to a scheduling error, I spent an entire day and night in an airport, over 30 hours in total. Just as I arrived at the gate, I was informed that my flight had been delayed for another 2 hours. FML
Today, I arrived at the airport two and a half hours early because I was expecting it to be busy. The line was long but I had plenty of time, until a woman complained about a fee for checked bags. I was next in line, and still managed to miss my flight because the woman caused such a big scene. FML
Today, I checked in for my flight, made it through TSA, bought food, and sat at the gate for an hour. I only realized I was sitting at the wrong gate when boarding for another flight finished and everyone had left. I ran to the correct gate, but it was too late. Despite me pleading, the plane was already taxiing to the runway. FML
Today, to avoid a massive delay on our scheduled flight at the airport, we were generously moved to an earlier flight home. An hour later, our new flight had been cancelled and they told us we'd be stuck at the airport overnight. Our original flight took off fine. FML
Today, I was at the airport getting ready to go to Hawaii. The guy at the counter said my flight was delayed. It turns out that the flight that was delayed was a flight going to Miami. My flight left at the regular time, and my luggage was on it, because I checked in the night before. FML
Today, I was on a flight home. I wasn't going to arrive until midnight, so I was offered an earlier flight that got back at ten. I got to baggage claims and it turned out they lost my bag. I sat there for 2 hours. The people on my original flight left for home before I did. FML
Today, I'm stuck at the airport overnight, because my phone didn't update its time zone after flying in, so I watched my train leave, thinking mine wasn't due for another hour. FML
Today, I woke up at 3am to catch my flight back home, only to realize that my flight was pushed back 14 hours. FML
Today, I went to the airport to pick up my long-distance boyfriend. Having waited six months for this, I was stoked. After waiting for three hours and sending numerous messages, I was eventually informed I was a week early. FML

Were you looking at the wrong flight information? If not and it was the airports/airlines fault they should reimburse you

they didn't go that for me and my family and we missed our plane -_- we were in the gate and I saw someone go in about 5 mins before us as we were looking at some stuff, then when we went to the gate and it wasn't the plane that left, it was the bus to take us to the plane and so we had to wait for another plane.

They normally do an anouncement for missing passengers on a plane about 4 or 5 times before taking off, Unless youve just got bad luck and they didnt do one.

That sucks and all, but you probably deserve it. Airports are usually very keen on keeping everyone properly informed about everything.

Not true, I was flying home one time and at my connecting flight someone asked me "oh are you going to Fort Lewis Washington?" (I was still in uniform because I was directed to wear it,) turns out they changed my gate number. I almost got on the wrong goddamn plane *not home.

Which is why they tell you numerous times to check if your gatenumber is still correct, even if you're coming from a different flight, although in that case you simply may not have been on the airport long enough to have been notified about any changes.. Regardless, they try very hard to notification people on changes, since no-one benefits from stranded people.

I'd assume after several long hours they may have announced the flight while OP was distracted (eating/restroom/whatever), but even still, I highly doubt it would've been so last minute, or even only announced once So either OP was not the least bit cautious, or they chose a terrible ******* airline
