Today, I started my new job as a repossession agent. While attempting to repo a boat, we came across a young couple. The woman was very annoying, and even hit another agent, so I threatened to throw her in the water if she touched him again. I ended up in the water instead. FML

Today, at work, I helped out an employee who was having trouble. I even bought her a bottle of water. After the production manager decided to fire her on the spot, she went out in the parking lot and broke into several cars, including mine. FML
Today, while taking part in a lifeguarding exercise, I was supposed to "drown" to get another guard to save me. After all was done, my boss called me into his office and screamed at me for "drowning the wrong way," and threatening our reputation. FML
Today, my friend and I went boating. In the middle of the lake, we decided to jump in. We put our valuables in the boat and jumped in. When I tried to get back in the boat, it flipped over, and our cellphones, along with my car keys, are at the bottom of the lake. FML
Today, while on an airboat exploring the Everglades, my cousin decided it would be funny to push me off the boat. Into water full of alligators. FML
Today, while on vacation with my family, I went parasailing. Just as I was about to take off, the wind picked up and I got blown off course. I ended up crashing into a boat and had to be rescued by the coastguard. FML
Today, I was security at a shopping centre and tried to stop a guy from drinking in public. He told me to fuck off and "go play cops and robbers somewhere else", so I tried to escort him to the security office. He picked me up with one hand and threw me in the fountain. My boss let him go with a warning. I hate my job. FML
Today, my boyfriend threw me into his pool. I had my phone and iPod in my pockets. FML
Today, I was lifeguarding at a community pool when I noticed a toddler go underwater. I quickly jumped in but suddenly got a cramp, which caused me to stall. When I looked up, I saw an old woman saving him, and got a shoe thrown at my head. I was fired. FML
Today, I rescued a little boy who looked like he was drowning in a public pool. His mother then smacked me in the face for "touching him". FML
Today, our boat broke down in the middle of a lake at sunset. We called our friend for help, and his truck and trailer got stuck in mud at the boat ramp. We called the sheriff's office to tow his vehicle out of the mud. The tow strap broke. FML

45, to be fair it's not like they just decide not to pay their bills. They don't pay them because they can't. When the repo men come some people freak out because they are losing everything they tried so hard to be able to keep. It's the moment when they have to accept that they are in a bad financial state and they probably will be for a long time. I can imagine it's very emotionally distressing, which is why people get violent or desperate.

48, While what you say may be true (though at the same time I do think it's because they're just generally dickheads anyway), excusing violent or aggressive behaviour just because someone is not able to live beyond their means is not acceptable. I have no sympathy for these people unless they act civilly, theres no reason to attack someone for doing their job.

I completely agree, 55, and I am in no way saying the couple's behavior is justified. Regardless of how bad your situation is- financial or otherwise, you have no excuse to be violent towards another person. I was just giving a little insight to the otherside.

There are traders who sell luxury items to people, knowing full well they can't afford them, getting the first few rates and then repossess the items. Sure their customers are stupid, but the sellers are dirt bags. I don't think the sellers deserve sympathy either. And the repo guys know what kind of businesses they deal with. It may all be legal, but it's still slimy.
