Today, I spent the whole day doing a 500 piece puzzle. The last piece didn't fit. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Justifiable anger
Today, I completed a jigsaw puzzle. Almost. You see, there's a problem: One of the pieces is an exact duplicate of another, and the actual missing piece is… gone. So there's one empty space and one piece that doesn't fit. Words cannot describe how irrationally angry this makes me. FML
So frustrating!
Today, I bought a massive new puzzle to take my mind off of things. Hours later, I realized there was a missing piece. Frustrated, I looked everywhere for it, only to discover it was stuck to the bottom of my shoe, and I'd been walking around with it all day. FML
Today, I spent hours putting together a beautifully intricate jigsaw to give to my grandmother, who likes to frame them and hang them on her wall. Just as I was about to finish it, I discovered my dog chewing the last piece. FML
Today, while babysitting I decided to play with a children's puzzle to pass the time. Fifteen minutes in I gave up. The kid then came over and put it together in less than five. There were only ten pieces. FML
Damn you, Ikea!
Today, I attempted to assemble a piece of furniture that claimed to be "easy to build in minutes." Four hours and multiple arguments later, I realized I had misread the instructions, and half the parts were upside down. I'm pretty sure the furniture won this round. FML
Today, I finally got a package for some pieces that my model kit was missing after I had contacted customer services about the problem. The package was still missing a piece. FML
FINNBY boss
Today, I spent two hours building an IKEA bookshelf. When I was finished, I realized it was inside-out. There was no way to fix it without completely taking it apart again. FML
Today, I chipped a tooth trying to solve a Rubik's Cube. FML
Wonky birthday!
Today, halfway through assembling a toy kitchen for a birthday, I realized the instructions made no sense and half the screws looked identical. I still somehow finished it and felt triumphant until the kid opened the oven door, the whole thing tipped sideways, and I had to spend the rest of the party holding it together with one hand. FML
Today, I tried to put together some flat-pack furniture. I wound up in my underpants, screaming stuff like, "Fuck you, fucking Ikea bastard" at pieces of confusing plywood. FML

I would have probably gone back to the store and demand the last puzzle piece because my OCD wouldn't be able to handle it.

How did that even happen...?

Maybe you should try to get out more...

How do you know OP doesn't get out often? OP could be sick or it could be raining outside.

It was just a joke...what OP does or doesn't do has nothing to do with me.

Wow, #30. That was a rhetorical question. If you didn't realize that, then you must be pretty dumb. If you weren't pretty, you'd have nothing. And there isn't even a guarantee that profile pic is even yours.

#56, your name rings true. It's unfair to assume that just her looks are all she has. You know literally nothing of her but a few words on a screen.

#56 I'm dumb...really? Thanks for letting me know! And incase you couldn't tell...that was sarcasm.

Go over the puzzle carefully and check if all the pieces fit properly. I have had to do that a few times because the last puzzle piece didn't fit and found out I mixed up almost identical pieces.

sorry for your loss... somewhere out there that piece is living it up...

I was almost done with a puzzle one day a few months ago when my cat decided to knock over the entire puzzle and make the pieces scatter all over the floor. I'm still searching for pieces. I feel your pain. At least that puzzle was probably only messed up in the manufacturing. My puzzle pieces may be inside a black cat's lower intestine, or a litter box.

My cat did something similar. he took one piece away from a 2000 piece I was working on. it wasn't until a month later I found the missing piece behind his litter box.

OCD nightmare. Would have driven me nuts.

I would go ******* insane. I would take a video of myself unable to finish the puzzle and show it to the store where the puzzle was bought. I would sue them if they did not give me the last piece and win.

Technically, the store is not at fault. It's the manufacturers.
Pyroaid 11
Yeah, you're right. I would still go batshit crazy... ;-;

Lol damn at that point I would've flipped a table. Sorry OP but maybe it was a defective puzzle. I wouldn't advice buying a new exact one to use that one piece tho

Just look at the picture the puzzle makes and see what part looks a bit off. Unless it's all sky and ocean or something. Then you're screwed

Refund? Not sure how you could prove it though.

Plot twist: it was really a 501 piece puzzle with one that doesn't gol just to trick you, OP has fallen into the trap of an evil genius...
