Today, I sat for 3 hours at my boyfriend's Christmas celebrations. He has 22 cousins. They open presents one at a time. In silence. I got nothing. FML

Today, I got a phone call from my boyfriend breaking things off with me. He waited until the day after Christmas because he wanted all his presents. And he got me nothing. FML
Today, after having recently moved 300 miles to be with my boyfriend of 2 years, I have to celebrate Christmas alone. He never thought our relationship important enough to tell his family about me, and doesn't want it to be "awkward." FML
Today, I wrapped my boyfriend's Christmas presents for him, because he was too lazy to do it himself. This included my own present. FML
Today, I sit isolated from my family with presents I cannot give. Though I respect my brother's religious beliefs and life ideals, he chooses to hate mine. He has gone out of his way to refuse patching up our relationship and now my parents who are at his house are not answering their phone. "Merry X-mas…" FML
Today, my boyfriend decided to give me my Christmas present early because he's going to his grandparents' house for Christmas and won't see me. I was excited, until I unwrapped a sweater that I left there a month ago. FML
Today, I waited anxiously until midnight to open my Christmas presents. As the clock struck midnight, I ran out into the living room, super-excited to open them, only to discover that everyone in our house had already opened theirs, and had all gone to bed. FML
Today, my family cancelled coming for Christmas again for the third time in four years. I only get to see my son for a few hours in the morning, then I'll be on my own the whole time. Again. FML
Today, I spent Thanksgiving alone. I'm not close to my family, I'm the black sheep but my sister said she would come over. To my surprise, she ended up going to my family's', where I'm not wanted. My boyfriend went to his family's, so I spent the whole day alone. He'd even took my dog. FML
Today, my family decided to break tradition and wake up at midnight to open presents. I didn't find out until I went downstairs to get a glass of water in the middle of the night, and found wrapping paper and empty boxes everywhere. FML
Today, my husband still hadn't gotten me anything for Christmas, so I bought and wrapped my own presents. Then I had my husband write 'to me, from him' on them so that I won't be embarrassed in front of my family on Christmas when it comes time to open presents. FML

Although it's true that Christmas isn't all about receiving gifts, didn't your boyfriend get you anything? At all? That's a bit unfair. Tell me, at least, that he gave you a gift in private at some point...

For all those people calling OP "ungrateful", do each one of you ***** even have a brain? In the situation she was in, WTF should she be grateful about? Being UNGRATEFUL implies that she received or experienced something positive that she or other people could be grateful about. Would any of you be grateful for the opportunity to sit through the opening of presents in SILENCE? Would you be grateful if your BF/GF invited you to spend a boring-ass X-mas with his/her boring-ass family and not even give or do anything to make the experience better? No? Alright then. Don't call OP ungrateful just because some of you guys can't read or think.
