You should definitely talk to him about that- you might be able to have a relationship with him while maintaining minimal contact with his sister. However she will always be his sister, and as long as you're with him she'll be around to some extent.

Not necessarily true. My dad hasnt talked to his family (mum, dad, siblings) in over 13 yea rs. Due to my mums request and common sense. If OP and her bf are both adults then at least she has no need to see her ever.

True 56, but op shouldn't go into the relationship (and taking it further) on the assumption that the little sister won't be around and she'll never have to deal with her. If op were going to take the relationship further (which I take it she isn't) she should expect that the sister will be around. It would be naive to assume otherwise.

how long have y'all been dating? my boyfriends little sister was like a fing devil for the first 6 months. like inviting his ex over to the house to see the puppy I bought him for his bday... uhm no. I voiced to him how I wouldn't stand for her acting like that towards me and disrespecting our relationship. he spoke with her and it turned out that she had heard a rumor that he had cheated on his ex with me and that I had stolen him so being 13 she plotted against me with the help of his ex and her friends... Anyways after he explained that it wasn't true and that his ex was just mad and that he wasn't going to ever get back with her and he loved me she turned around pretty quick. so maybe she is being a brat to you to see if you'll fight to stay. if you won't then you aren't good enough for her brother.
