Today, I noticed that my two cats have been urinating on my Christmas tree skirt more frequently than in their litter box. I've tried to get them to stop, but I don't know how. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I finally discovered the reason my front room smelt funny. My dog, thinking the Christmas tree was real, has been peeing on it for the past two weeks. FML
Messy bitches
Today, I bought my cats two new litter boxes in hopes that they would use them. They still prefer to pee on the clothes in my closet. FML
Alexa, play the Christmas album by Low
Today, to try to have a less depressing Christmas, I've put up a small tree in my apartment and wrapped some presents for myself. I woke from a nap to the sound of my cat vomiting. What did she throw up on? The presents. FML
Christmas Chaos
Today, I spent 15 minutes trying to get my cat out of our seven-foot Christmas tree. Once he was done, he tore about the house and broke the nativity scene, beheading baby Jesus and a wise man in the process. The tree is fucked. FML
A cat called Bruce
Today, we spent hours decorating the Christmas tree, perfectly balancing the lights, ornaments, and tinsel. Ten minutes later, the cat thought it was a right time to reenact Die Hard and climbed up the tree, knocking it over. Now my ornaments are shattered, and my cat is smugly sitting in the wreckage. FML
Every day is Caturday
Today, my parents got a cat tree for my cats. I tried to tell them it was way too small, but they ignored my protests. Lo and behold, it's way too small. My cats have already fallen down trying to get on it at least three times each. even though one of them is abnormally small. FML
Today, I followed my neighbor's advice and sprayed Sprite on my Christmas tree because it will "make it live longer." I just came downstairs to find my Christmas tree covered in ants. FML
Today, I went Christmas shopping for my cat. I still haven't bought presents for my family, yet my cat already has several small gifts under the tree and an outfit to wear around the house. I really need a new hobby. FML
Today, my cat had the greatest idea ever: hide inside our Christmas tree and attack anyone who walks past. It would have come as extremely funny to me if I hadn't been her first victim. FML
Spray it
Today, I learned why my bathroom has a horrible, seemingly irremovable stench. My cat doesn't squat to pee like a normal cat. She stands up, peeing over the side of the litter tray all over the wall and floor, which are now a permanent yellow tinge. FML

Spray bottle of water!

Take up the Christmas tree skirt, and either wash it in a really good product designed to break down the enzymes in cat urine. Set it aside, see if they pee on it again, if they do, buy a new one because they won't stop. Rub lemon peel on the skirt, or put catnip on it. The first will ward them away, the second will get them stoned/high whenever they go near it and make them wander off away from it.

The catnip will attract cats, not repel them.

...Did you not read the "will make them high/stoned and make them wander away" part? Because it works for most cases, and even if they DO decide to stay on the skirt, they are way less likely to piss on it unless they have bladder problem, because they will be laying on it. When cats are under the effects of catnip, they tend to go to a different spot than they get exposed in.

Washing it with white vinegar in addition to your normal detergent will get the smell out. Then there are also sprays that will deter them from wanting to use it again.

I definitely know the feeling. I am a cat person even though cats are total jerks at times. Perhaps you can spray a thing on the three that smells bad for cats? There are certain products made to help in situations like this. Get a spray with a gross strench that cats hate (It won't necessarily smell bad to you)

Squeeze few lemons and mix the juice with water. Spray all over the tree. It will smell nice and cats will hate it.

Surround the tree with pop rocks, that oughtta scare them away.

It may repel them after the first time, but that first time may cause them to run away while peeing

Step 1: get a dog. Step2: get rid of cats.

Well THAT'S an unreturnable gift if there was one.

Grab your cat and rub their nose in it

Burn the tree skirt. Treat the tree and the new skirt with a retail product that repels cats.

Throw the cats out. Problem solved. Relax.
