Today, I noticed my nephew has blue eyes, freckles and dimples which don't run in my family or my sister's husband's family, but they do run in my husband's family. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my wife and I both have blond hair and blue eyes, we just had a red headed son. FML
Very low odds
Today, I ran into a friend that I hadn't seen in about 5 years. She had her 4-year-old son with her. I couldn’t help but notice her son looked almost identical to mine. He even had a very distinct facial feature that my husband has as well. What are the odds all three of them have the same defect? FML
Today, as I was perusing old photos with my mother, I found one of her with a "childhood friend" at her wedding to my dad. Now I know where my green eyes and blotchy neck birthmark came from, and it's not from the man I’ve been calling "dad" for 40 years. FML
Paternity test before the rest
Today, after always laughing when my mom told me to avoid dating any guy with green eyes and thinking it was some weird prejudice, she told me the truth. My father cheated and had at least six other kids. They all have green eyes and look alike. FML
Today, my niece started crying because she thought that someday she'll look like me. FML
The family tree is a stump
Today, my family is too damn close. My uncle on my dad's side just got my aunt on my mum's side pregnant, three cousins from dad's side are dating three cousins from mum's side, and a half brother from my dad is marrying my half sister from my mum. We are the inbred rednecks of this town. FML
Stolen valor
Today, I was complimented on my freckles. I don't actually have freckles, just a load of blackheads that won't go away. FML
Today, I asked my girlfriend what she loves the most about me. She said it's the fact that I look like her cousin. FML
Foiled by genetics
Today, I was chatting with my optician and it came up that eye colour is determined by parents eye colour, such as how blue and brown-eyed parents can’t make a green-eyed baby. My wife and I are blue and brown. Our 6 year-old has green eyes. I confronted her and she admitted she'd had an affair. FML
Check please!
Today, my date told me I have a smile that "reminds him of his grandma." Then he showed me a picture. I look exactly like her. FML

Run a DNA test on both. Then kick ass if your poor sweet nephew is your stepson.

This is an excerpt from "ask a geneticist" - explains how the biology is much more complicated than the simple charts we learned in high school. Check out the link below for more info: Can two parents with blue eyes have a child with brown eyes? Yes, blue-eyed parents can definitely have a child with brown eyes. Or green or hazel eyes for that matter. Blue-eyed parents can have kids with brown eyes. If you stayed awake during high school biology, you might find this answer surprising. We were all taught that parents with blue eyes have kids with blue eyes. Every time. http://www.thetech.org/genetics/ask.php?id=332

It's called recessive traits, idiot.

overreacting .. i suggest you read up on genetics and how traits are passed along

Could be recessive genes... You never know. But I'd still confront your husband

My mom has brown eyes and my dad has blue eyes but of my two younger brothers and I, I'm the only one that came out with colored eyes...and they're green

@333 Same here. It's actually very simple. In genes, there are dominant genes and recessive genes, but some are kinda both. You can have genes for brown, green, and blue eyes, but only the brown would show. Brown eyes are the most dominant. Then, comes green. Finally, blue. So, it's like rock paper scissors. Brown beats green, green beats blue, and blue just gets to suffer at the bottom. So your mom had brown eyes and your dad has blue eyes, and you have green eyes. When they reproduced, there was a 33% chance of brown eyes, a 33% chance of green eyes, and a 33% chance of blue eyes. Your genes come out to be Gb, meaning you have green eyes, but you also have the blue eyed gene, which mean your children could have green or blue eyes. Same as me. Cool, right? :3

Wait, my brain is processing what you just said... Nope, still don't get it. Someone explain this to me.

Blond hair, Blue eyes and dimples are all recessive traits. Its probably a rare coincidence.

O wow!

It's all about biology. His genes may be recessive genes, or those unlike his parents. Don't worry.
