Today, I had to wait an hour in the awful rain for my mom to pick me up, because she didn't realize the clocks had gone forward already. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Soaking
Today, I had to walk home in the rain because my mom didn't want to get her new car wet. FML
Today, wanting to be on time for my first job interview, I woke up at the crack of dawn and walked almost an hour through a thunderstorm. When I arrived, I was told that the manager wasn't in today, because of the bad weather. FML
Today, due to bad weather, my dad let me take his car to drive to my apartment 3 hours away. I only realized when I got there that my keys were still sitting on my parents' kitchen counter. FML
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain
Today, I waited in the pouring rain for my wife to come pick me up from work. It was only after I was thoroughly drenched that I remembered it was my wife's day off, and that I drove myself to work earlier in her car, which was parked fifty feet from where I was waiting. FML
Today, my football practice ended early due to severe weather. Not only had I misplaced my phone earlier in the day, both my parents thought the other had picked me up. I was in the rain for an hour and a half. FML
Today, I missed my bus, so I walked home in the rain from school, only to realize my mom had been following me the whole time in the car, laughing her ass off. FML
Today, I decided to show up early for work and really try to get off my manager's shit-list. On my way to work, my manager called to bitch me out for already being 30 minutes late. Yeah, I forgot about Daylight Savings Time. FML
Today, I'm stuck at the airport overnight, because my phone didn't update its time zone after flying in, so I watched my train leave, thinking mine wasn't due for another hour. FML
Tardy
Today, I had to tell my daughter 7 times to get ready for school. I packed her lunch, made her breakfast, got her clothes ready for her, and yet it still took her half an hour to get dressed, making me just under an hour late for work due to peak hour traffic. Traffic I would have beaten. FML
Today, after complaining about the clocks still being an hour ahead from daylights savings, my work finally changed the time on all the clocks in the building. Now all the clocks are two hours ahead. FML

And you were completely incapable of locating a phone to call her or a dry place to wait? If you chose not to take action, you generally lose the right to complain about an unpleasant situation.

There may have been no close place to take shelter, and OP may be in an unfamiliar place and not want to get lost. Not to mention the fact that OP's mother could have appeared at any time. It's not as if OP knew they would have a whole hour to find a phone, she probably didn't know the reason she was late until afterwards. It makes much more sense to stay where you are, as that is where people will first look for you.

Well maybe then you should have thought if your mother wasn't smart enough to realize the time difference, then maybe you shouldn't of had her pick you up. Maybe if YOU were smart enough you could get your own car and drive home! gosh people these days...

It's Spring forward, Fall backward. So the time change that occured today means the clocks went AHEAD an hour, not back.

if you lost your computer, would it suck any less because most people can't afford computers? my dad died six years ago, but i can recognise when someone is upset or angry at their own father that it sucks.

Obviously, the only way for you to settle this disagreement is to have your ugly pets fight. Sure, the turtle's just a little guy, but that dog looks like a complete sissy, so I'm giving even odds.
