Today, after getting my car completely fixed after it being damaged for a year, I was driving and the entire side panel on the car fell off. The repair man forgot to put the screws back in. FML

Today, I got my car back from the repair shop. After paying $400 for them to fix the scratches on the driver's side door, some one decided to key both sides of my car while I was on my lunch break from work. FML
Today, I finally got my car back after it was in the auto shop for a week. On my way home, I started swerving all over the road. It turns out they didn't tighten the lug nuts on one of my wheels properly. FML
Today, I took my car into the shop to get a minor problem fixed. I left several hours later, without my car. Why? The mechanic crashed it while out on a test drive to make sure he'd fixed the problem. FML
Today, my car was broken in for a second time in a month and a half, and for the second time it's now Inoperable. I only got it returned from repairs two days ago. FML
Today, I picked up my car after I got it painted. As I backed up in the parking lot, my car scraped against a pillar. Now I have to put it right back in the shop. FML
Today, I paid $2300 to a mechanic for fixing my car. It's also the day I got into an accident and totalled said car. FML
Today, I woke up to find the entire driver's side of my car wrecked. Front door, back door, front and rear bumper smashed to shit. A drunk driver had hit it the previous night and ran. Don't worry though, he stopped and left his insurance information. He keyed it into the undamaged side of my car. FML
Today, I backed a van into another car at work, damaging the tailgate in the process. I work at a panel beater. The van I was driving had just had a brand new tailgate put on. FML
Today, my dad was looking for something in the garage and accidentally knocked over a heavy box, which crushed the new side view mirror I'd bought for my car, because the one my car originally had, he smashed it against a pole while driving my car recently. FML
Today, on Christmas Eve, as I was getting my car loaded for the holiday rounds to the in-laws and parents, my car decided now was the time to break down. I recently put in over $1000 fixing it. FML

I am hereby making a complaint regarding the comment pertaining to the comment on the comment about the comment! @OP: That sucks. Some repair shops have policies that prevent them from being liable for damage to your car, but in this case, I'd be damn willing to bet that they'll do something about it just to save face. Haha, what a noob-ish mistake. Somebody's probably gonna lose a job over this. xD FYL.

If you went to a local, family run mechanic, they probably would have done everything they could to satisfy you after the mistake. If you went to a place with hundreds of locations across the country, it may go to court. Big business usually doesn't give a rats ass about the customer.

So that they could beat it for another year, of course! They jumped the gun and went ahead and knocked the side panel off already, though. Cheaters! I'm not surprised the repairman forgot to put in the screws, though; sounds like he's missing some, himself.

Agreed. Repairing one's car takes a lot of money. The OP was probably just saving up or something. If something happened to my car, I probably would not be able to fix it for a looooong time either.
