Today, I got grounded for 2 weeks for slapping my brother after he threw a baseball at my head and hit my shin with a bat. He’s in 9th grade and I'm in 8th. He got ice cream to "cheer him up". FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I had to take my little brother to the pool. He acted like a brat the whole time, and when I told him we were leaving, he ran away, slipped, and hit his face on the tile floor. He told my dad and step-mom I punched him. They believed him, and I'm grounded for two months. FML
Today, my little brother was feeling like the god damned bratty douchebag he is and hurled a basketball at me. It missed, hit the wall, and rebounded straight into his face. He burst into tears, and I'm now grounded because my parents believed him when he said I threw it at him. FML
Today, my little brother came into my room and hit me over the head with his baseball bat. He then dropped the bat onto my floor and ran crying into my mother's room proclaiming I stole his bat and beat him with it for fun. FML
Today, my sister smashed a cup on my head because I told her she couldn't borrow one of my necklaces since she lost one and stole another. I was grounded for "antagonizing" her into doing it. FML
Based
Today, my 8 year-old little sister said, "F*** you" to my mom. My mom thought I told her to say that and grounded me for a month. Later, my sister came up to me and said, "Gotcha, bitch." FML
Short fuse
Today, two days after losing my temper with my smart mouthed 7 year-old son and slapping him across the face, I tried to apologize by buying him a treat and telling him if anyone found out, I would get in trouble. Today, I got a call from social services about the "bruise" on his face. FML
Today, my little brother gave me an open jar of peanut butter for my birthday. I'm deathly allergic, and he knows it. Despite his maniacal grin and snickering, my parents said it was an innocent mistake, and grounded me for yelling at him. FML
Today, my dad made a big show of sending me to my room and grounding me for a week. Not because he heard me cursing at my video game, but because I "swear like a little girl" and it embarrassed him in front of his friends. FML
Kids will be kids
Today, my 14 year-old got a 5-day suspension for fighting. He stood up for an 7th grader who was getting picked on. While the poor kid was eating lunch, they were messing with him when my son stepped in. There were some words said, then a fight. He feels terrible for fighting but I think he was in the right. FML
Today, I got into a huge fight with a girl at school. My mom and dad decided to punish me by letting my three older brothers pick out my wardrobe for the next week. FML

Next time hit him in the head with a bat and throw a baseball at his shin. Then start crying about how sad it made you to have to do that.

And today’s stupid parenting lesson is to give in to the one that cried the loudest. It teaches a life of learned helplessness....

Can we say, coddled much? So sorry, OP. Your lil bro sounds like a dick. Get revenge, ASAP. Remember this for when you both are adults, then tell any of his friends or girlfriends what he did when you guys were young teens.

Your parents need to console him for his poor ball control. If you took the beanball, your brother would be ok and you’d get ice cream.

Is your brother the "collector " of lunch money for the school bully?

I've heard of favoritism, but this is absurd. Somehow I get the feeling that OP's brother has some form of mental health issue, and mommy dearest in all her wisdom, uses it as an excuse for him to do as he pleases. And no, this is not me digging at those with mental problems as the mental is just as valid as the physical -- it's a dig at people's reactions to it being on either extreme, whether it's on the abusive end treating them as an abomination, or the opposite end where they are not held accountable for anything. ...but I could be wrong and it could just be simple favoritism, rendering everything past the first sentence moot.

Lmao the latter is my problem. My brother is autistic and my mother treats him like hes helpless. To the point where hes an incel that stalks women and will use autism as an excuse for any trouble he causes. I.E Him throwing a controller and my dad demanded to know why he did it. "Uh dad you realize Im autistic right?" Then my dad proceeded to get the belt.

If your brother is functional enough to form and speak phrases like "uhhh you know im autistic, right?" thats such intense bullshit and he should and can be held accountable for his actions.

When parents have a favorite (and it's not you)... you have to suffer through this kind of thing your entire life (even into adulthood). You have my sympathies.
