Today, I got a new haircut. I was feeling pretty confident, until coworkers and family members kept making comments like, "I think you gained a little weight", "You look older" and "Do you still like guys?" Apparently, my new haircut changed my waist size and my sexual orientation. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, after growing my hair out for over a year and constantly being told that it makes me look like a girl, I finally cut it. The first thing my friends said when they saw me was that I now look like a "lesbian." FML
Today, I came into work with a new hair cut and so far everyone has asked me If I lost a bet. FML
Today, I was excited about showing off my new haircut. All my friends thought it looked really good and it made me look older. What did my boyfriend think? He said I look like a little girl and he was afraid to kiss me in public because he didn't want someone to think he was a pedophile. FML
Notice me, please
Today, three people commented on my new haircut. The one I got about two weeks ago. FML
Mistaken identity
Today, after cutting my hair and shaving, I had girls hitting on me for the first time ever! Too bad they thought I was a butch lesbian, not a man. FML
Shaved
Today, fed up with my nerdy appearance, I got my hair shaved off, hoping for a Walter White kind of look. I didn't think it was too bad, but not even an hour later, I'd already been called a "fat Bruce Willis" and compared to a freshly circumcised penis. FML
Today, everyone at work commented on how much better my new haircut looked and how I should keep styling it this way as it's such an improvement over my old style. I was late for work this morning. My new hair style was Bed hair that I didn't have time to sort out... FML
Brave
Today, I showed my new haircut to my friends. One of them said, "Wow, it’s brave to try something different." I didn’t realize that "brave" was code for "bad." FML
Today, I got a haircut. During dinner, my grandmother complained about it, and said I looked terrible. I've had the exact same haircut for years. FML
Today, I decided to go get my hair cut because it was getting a bit long. I told the lady that I wanted it way short and she replied "Why? You will look like a guy sweetie." I am a guy. FML

Who just asks someone "Do you still like guys?" That's pretty rude. FYL

What kind of haircut did you get? Wasn't a mullet or anything by any chance, was it?
MrsPegg 45
Of course! All the ladies and guys die for the mullet. -.-

I don't think it matters. if OP wants a mullet then OP can get a mullet.

$10 it's the "can I speak to the manager" haircut

Probably a pixie cut. I had one in the fourth grade.

Pay no mind to their comments. If you are confident with your new haircut, then that's all that should matter is that you're happy with it, regardless of what others think :)

Hard to be confident when only OP likes it. It is very hard to just ignore eveyone else's opinion as we are social creatures that care about what other people think (especially people close to you)

3 - Typical "you go" advice, and terrible. Clearly it doesn't look good and clearly she's uncomfortable about it. Have you considered that the OP could just be wrong?

If you like it who cares what any one else thinks.

It's only what you think that matters, as long as you enjoy your haircut no matter what anyone else says should matter. even if it makes everyone think youre gay.

I also believe asking if someone put on weight is also rude and insensitive.

Hey OP here, I wrote this before making my profile if your wondering why I am not writing with the same nickname. Anyways, Im still rocking my A-line with confidence- I have a very judgemental circle of Friends/Family/coworkers as you can see. I like it, end of story. Thanks for the encouraging comments everyone!

Happy to hear that! Rock it all the way as long as you like it!

It happens to me all the time, in the form of rumors that I'm a lesbian. That's what I get for having short hair, I guess. Societal expectations are a bitch.

Fans and critics said eminem's 'fack' song is one of his worst ever, you know what he did? He put the damn ******* song on his greatest hits album. Point is, you like it, you rock it with your initial confidence. If people don't like it, tell them to go suck a lemon or better yet hug a high tension cable.

8 - Terrible advice. She clearly can't "rock it" and lacks the confidance you cite. Time for a new doo.

No need for ignorance #28

#28 So OP should alter her life, change her appearance, and hide her feelings because obviously everyone else's views are what will truly make her happy and fulfilled in herself? You will have never truly lived if you carry on only to please others.

"No, my new hair turned me I to a pussy-craving fatass" No point in taking their comments to heart, enjoy your hair

So with one haircut you became a confident, old, fat lesbian. Did you perchance go to the same barber who was planning on quitting and slicing people bangs off the other day?
