Today, I found out the money my husband's been funneling from our bank account wasn't for drugs or gifts for another girl like I thought. It was for a guy he stupidly believed was a foreign diplomat, who supposedly needed to bribe officials in order to send us several million dollars. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Scammed
Today, my twit of a husband admitted to falling for an internet scam involving a dead foreign politician, the promise of a share in millions of dollars currently stuck in a bank, and him having wired a large amount of our money to "bribe an official". FML
Catfished!
Today, I found out my husband has been "cheating" on me with some girl from Russia that he has to pay for regularly. This explains why he never has any money, he's actually dumb enough to be scammed. FML
Today, I found out that the money my husband said he loaned to his "mother" actually went to the purchase of new lingerie for the woman he's cheating on me with. I just got the bill from the department store. FML
Charity
Today, I found out that the dude I love has been taking the money I used to support him and buying heroin with it. FML
Another one bites the dust
Today, I found out that my husband is an undercover crypto/NFT dipshit. I found this out when I looked at our joint account to find he had transferred a hell of a lot of actual money to some sort of BTC account with a dumb name. He now claims it's "the future", and I just "don't understand." FML
That's nice, but…
Today, my husband announced the reason he had been working since much is because he had secretly paid off my tens of thousands of student loans. I then had to tell him I'm leaving him for his best friend. FML
Bad news
Today, I came to found out that every time my husband told me that he was on "a work trip", he was actually cheating on me with some other bitch. FML
Today, I found out that my boyfriend paid a guy to tell me he was dead. FML
Findom
Today, my husband got paid. I checked our bank account and was shocked to see we'd only received $300. I called him, insisting that there was some mistake. He said he'd started a new bank account in his name so he could manage our money on his own, and the $300 was my "allowance". I now want a divorce. FML
Today, I found out that my husband of five years was living a double life. He and his mistress have two children together and a third one on the way. He told me the only reason he stayed with me was for my money. I make about 8 dollars an hour and work two jobs to make ends meet. FML

It's okay, OP. You'll soon have that money back, plus millions. You just have to wait for the guy to be able to leave the refugee camp, and you're all set.

Foreign diplomat? Wow, your husband must really be a fool. Now if you excuse me, a Nigerian prince is asking me if I can lend him a couple of thousands.

I never did get it why people fall for this shit. I mean, ok you're gullible, but if the guy really had all the wealth, why the hell would he want to share it?? Mainly talking about the Nigerian prince (which they don't even have royalty) scam which actually got a guy in the Navy imprisoned for embezzling and sending over $250,000! ****'s sake...

Shouldve left it at drugs...

Nigeria has many small "kingdoms" inside of it which are ruled over by "royalty". Technically everyone in Nigeria is somehow related to "royalty".

People still fall for that kind of stuff? That's pretty ******* sad, full OP.

You know one of these days a prince from Africa will try to donate millions of dollars but that message will be marked as spam.

Yeah it happens. My aunt sAw an ad for a job and applied for it thinking it was real. The people sent her an email and fake application. They told her she had to send them $2000 so they could buy the material she'd need for the job and then send it to her but they would send her a check and she'd need to cash it and then send them the money. So she did just that. She then received a phone call from the back saying the check had no funds in it or something like that. So now she's in debt with the bank. It sucks :/

Maybe it's a good thing the million dollar thing was fake. He might have spent it all on drugs, or even worse, gifts for another girl.

I like the way you think.

When's the money coming?
Ambient25 25
as soon as you send me $200 for using FML. Remember to do it in unmarked, non sequential bills. No paper trail.

Divorce?
DocBastard 40
Correct. Divorce over one stupid mistake is the only option. I'm glad we have such clever 17-year old kids who know so much about mature relationships giving advice here.
that_band_nerd 22
Forget violence is always the answer, here on FML the only correct response to a problem is to sue or dump.
mannatee 19
That's so accurate I can't even handle it
adrianh1090 12
I see no mistake.

Yea I had eye surgery so had wear eye protection from light.

Actually, the husband made an important financial decision without the OP, and it was presumably their joint bank account. This goes beyond stupidity and I do think divorce would be a suitable way of dealing with this. Clearly he has no concept of being in an equal partner relationship.
DocBastard 40
Deloria - How long have you been married? If the answer is "never", then you have no basis nor right to give such stupid advice. Spouses make financial decisions alone all the time. We don't buy houses without our spouse's consent. What the husband did was stupid, but this isn't a "large" decision.
TheElBurrrito 21
10- You see no mistake because....... You one what, forget it. You're too busy being dumb to waste my breath explaining this.
aire101 16
It really just depends on if wasting large amounts of house funds is a habit of his. If this was a one time stupid mistake then divorce isn't necessarily the answer. But if he is habitually wasteful with their money to the point that it affects their financial stability... something like this could be the final straw. Money is one of the leading causes of divorce for a reason.

Your choice: cheating husband or one who has no common sense? No common sense it is!
