Today, I found out the high school I have been doing at home for the past 3 years isn't accredited and doesn't count for anything. I'm 18 and starting high school as a freshman next year. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
The truth will out
Today, I've lied about my grades for three years of high school already and my mom thinks I'm a straight A student. I'm supposed to be going to college in a year. FML
Today, I learned that the college I'm going to in the fall has been tampering with their ratings on the internet and actually only has a 5% graduation rate. Everything's already been paid for and I can't transfer elsewhere. FML
Today, I found out that my parents lied to me about my GPA so they could go back on our agreement of "3.0 or above or summer school" and had no intention of honoring the agreement anyway. I've been in summer school doing catch-up for kicks. FML
Fertile
Today, I started my senior year of high school and I just learned I'm pregnant. I'm not sure how to tell my parents, considering I had a baby freshman, sophomore, and junior year as well. FML
Jumping the gun
Today, I got my report card, and thought I did pretty well with a GPA of 3.58. My parents freaked out over the 3 B's I had, and proceeded to look up which colleges would still accept me. I just finished my first quarter as a freshman in high school. FML
I blame the parents
Today, after being kicked out of our school for leaving the country, neither of my guardians want to take charge of our education. So me, being sixteen, I have to do hundreds of assignments for my sister and me, who was already supposed to have graduated. Yay "Home schooling." FML
Today, I finally finished my summer assignments for three AP classes. My schedule also arrived. Turns out my school can't place me in any of them, and I just wasted the last four weeks of my summer. FML
Today, despite being in high school, I'm still shorter than the average 3rd grader. FML
Mr Motivator
Today, I found that my medical school has lost its WFME (World Federation for Medical Education) accreditation and my certificate (that I should be obtaining in two years) will be worthless. To pour salt into the wound, I have finals next week and it's hard to stay motivated after this kind of news. FML
Today, I went to my little brother's high school to speak to his counselor about his grades. On my way to the office, the office manager threatened to write me up for ditching class and told me that high school is not like middle school, 9th grade will be different. I graduated 5 years ago. FML

Some high schools don't allow students over 21. Good luck with that, and I mean it sincerely, cause that sucks.

You should ahve investigated it earlier tbh... I mean, how can you not know it? Were there more people in that school anyway?

dude, you're going to be so popular. You can buy all those other anxious freshmen drinks! Unless of course you're in America, in which case you will once you're a junior. And also, if this program was at all decent even without being accredited, you should pass everything easily.

I was going to say that you could be the hottest MILF at the prom, but then I saw this FML was from Florida*. Now I am amending my statement to read: You can be one of the MILFs at the prom. *Certain Florida natives are not considered to fall into the stereotype of early teen pregnancy associated with the state. She knows who she is.

I hereby disband the club known as "plexico, have my babies" and begin a new one called "triumvirate, have my babies". I nominate myself dictator.

Oh, well, so goes the career of a demi-god. It was fun while it lasted. Good luck with your new idol. Now I know how Zeus must feel.

Don't you know how this works? I say something like that, and you say, "Oh I'm sorry" and gush about how awesome I am. Then I say, "Oh I was just kidding, you're the only one I'd want to start a master race with!" And we make up.. Jeez. I'll do it for you. *Deep voice*: "Oh, Intoxicunt, you're so awesome that you make the entire state of Florida awesome, regardless of anyone else who lives there." *Normal voice: "Thank you, plexico, the club is now reinstated." (Zeus got all the girls, so you obviously DO know how he felt). =]

What sort of shitty college doesn't allow you in if your high school wasn't accredited? Sure, that kind of thing happened in the 80s and 90s... but it's been about a decade since the average state school is fine with it. (the elite schools have always preferred home schooled students)

You don't have to re-do high school! If you are homeschooled in Florida you DO NOT have to participate in an accredited high school course. To get into a university all you have to do is take the SAT or ACT and have a transcript (which you do) made by your parents. Most universities love homschoolers. Don't take the GED, it is not the same as a high school diploma (which, btw, your parents can make for you by buying diploma paper at Office Depot and signing their names, it will be a real diploma). You can get into a great university with a homeschool diploma, I'm not so sure about a GED. GEDs are for dropouts and people who failed (and yes, I know that lots of other people have GEDs but, in general, it's a negative spot on your life.)
