Today, I found out the high school I have been doing at home for the past 3 years isn't accredited and doesn't count for anything. I'm 18 and starting high school as a freshman next year. FML

Some high schools don't allow students over 21. Good luck with that, and I mean it sincerely, cause that sucks.

You should ahve investigated it earlier tbh... I mean, how can you not know it? Were there more people in that school anyway?

Look on the bright side, at least you can drive a car and get a job before any of your classmates.

wtf? how can it be that a high school isn't accredited ? 8( who would go to such school then? I'd sue the school if I were you.

for people who didnt fully read the original post. she says she has been doing it at home for 3 years (aka home schooling)...

That's terrible, but you can always get a GED! It only took me a few weeks to complete mine, and I got into university with it... there's no reason to take high school classes over again if you already know the material.

hmm that really sucks, but seriously why didn't you just go to real high school like everyone else?

Because that was TOTALLY the OP's choice to make at 14...

High school you have been doing at home? As in homeschool?

no, you dumbass. what do you think? Gah..

Just get a GED. A lot of people will tell you that a GED looks worse than a high school diploma, but most colleges don't really care as long as you've got one or the other and you know what you're doing.

Not to be rude, but based on your writing I can see why it's not accredited.

Preceding a rude statement with "not to be rude" does not make it any less rude.

Just get your GED, you idiot. It costs like $50 and you can start college next semester.
