Today, I found out that I'm immune to laughing gas and partially immune to novocaine while I was getting two teeth pulled. FML

Today, I went to get some teeth pulled. I had Novocaine in my gums and lip so I couldn't feel a thing. When the doctor is pulling out the last tooth, he sneezes and pulls the tooth out. He looks in my mouth and I hear, "Oh, shit..." I now have stitches in my mouth. FML
Today, I got all four of my wisdom teeth taken out. I happen to be allergic to all types of pain medication. FML
Today, I had my wisdom teeth pulled. The local anesthesia worked on three of the four teeth. I found out about the last tooth when the dentist was mid-yank. FML
Today, the dentist had to give me a lot of novacaine because my mouth wasn't becoming numb. After the 4th time the entire right side of my mouth was numb, except for the 2 teeth getting worked on. FML
Today, I got my wisdom teeth cut out. While my girlfriend was driving me home, I, still being high on the laughing gas, accidentally admitted to cheating on her. She was kind enough to wait until the numbness wore off before she punched me in the face. FML
Today, I got a tooth pulled out. I now have a hole connecting my mouth to my nose. Drinking and eating is whole new experience. FML
Today, I went to the dentist to get a filling. Instead of giving me Novocaine, my dentist decided he was going to use a special new paste on me while he drilled. It didn't work. FML
Today, I had all four of my wisdom teeth extracted. Under anesthesia I told the dentist my entire love life and drug history in detail. FML
Today, while getting a dental filling, the fire alarm sounded. The plaza was evacuated and we had to stand outside in the cold for 2 hours. The anesthetic wore off. FML
Today, I had all of my wisdom teeth removed. After the anesthesia wore off, I asked how long the procedure took, and the nurse told me a little less than an hour. Apparently I thought this was hilarious and started laughing, which ripped my new stitches. FML

Aye. I had a tooth pulled in December, and there was nothing they could do to make it stop hurt. They had to cut it in half before they pulled it out. They gave me a little codeine plus Novocaine, but it still hurt like crazy. I mean, I still had to drive home from the appointment, so they couldn't dope me up. But these things happen. Sometimes you just have to suck it up.

There's no such thing as being immune to nitrous oxide (laughing gas). The truth is that your dentist pumped you with bubblegum-scented air while he actually huffed your dose of the good stuff. At least he thought your tooth extraction was ******' hilarious!

People can have adverse reactions to meds...my dad was in the hospital 'cause of ulcers, and they put a tube down his throat, but because they didn't want him to panic/feel uncomfortable, they gave him meds to make him drowsy and sleepy/unaware....he ended up yanking the tube out 'cause the medicine made him FREAK OUT and be unaware. Despite the fact it is unlikely for it to be the OPs case, it is possible.

Umm why would anyone want to "deal with the pain" of having their teeth pulled?? Hello, we are a civilized society, Im sure theres another numbing agent that OP is not allergic to. Theres no reason that just because one numbing agent doesn't work, that you should have to deal with the pain. Im sorry that you have to endure it, but its unnecessary...why put yourself through that pain of you don't want to? I mean if your into stuff like that, more power to you, but if I had to get teeth pulled and they told me there was going to be no anestesia I would inform them they arent pulling a damn thing til they find me something to help with pain, and then I'd find someone to call about their caveman dental program.
