Today, I found out my boyfriend cheated on me with his boss so he could get a promotion and "provide" for us. This from the guy who made me quit my job because he said he made enough money to support us both. FML

Today, after I helped get my boyfriend get a new job, he thanked me by dumping me for some whore who works there. FML
Today, my boyfriend was fired. After breaking the news, he also broke up with me. Apparently, his boss had a creepy crush on me and would give my boyfriend bonuses for bringing me to company events and, occasionally, out on the boss's personal boat. Looks like I am no longer useful. FML
Today, I got a sweet promotion at my job. Instead of being happy and celebrating with me, my boyfriend broke up with me because he is jealous that I'm more successful than he is. FML
Today, I found out my boyfriend is cheating on me. His excuse was that I never had time for his needs anymore. He’s unemployed but I guess me working and studying to get my degree so we could move out of his parents’ house was too much. Now I have no place to go. FML
Today, I found out why my boyfriend doesn't want me to get a full-time job, despite us needing the money. He's scared that I'll cheat on him with one of my coworkers, to get back at him for doing it a few years ago. I never knew he cheated on me. FML
Today, I found out my boss hired literally the only person in this town who is an ex-boyfriend. I also work with my current boyfriend. FML

Today, I found out my boyfriend was cheating on me using LinkedIn, a platform people use to connect with potential employers. FML
Today, my boss found out I had applied for a much better paying job. He told me I'd do a better job and make more money there. Then he fired me. FML
Today, my boyfriend broke up with me, right after I turned down an amazing job opportunity in another location, just so I could be with him. FML

Sounds like my step-sister's first husband. He turned out to be a control freak, ended up cheating on her and abusing her mentally & physically. He thinks his heart is in the right place which is pretty pathetic. A real man should let his wife/girlfriend take charge of their own lives and be there for them when they need it. You're so much better and stronger without him.

That's a textbook case of manipulation : 1- Convince you to quit your job to be dependent on him 2- Lying to you to get you to agree 3- I am guessing here, but most likely the next step was making it feel like it was your fault somehow. Followed by something to make you feel like less of a person, thereafter trying to play the sympathy card by making you feel sorry for him. He would've tried to hammer down the fact that there was "no other way" or some BS like that. Get out of this relationship immediately. I doubt the boss was the only one. I'm sorry OP, truth hurts, but this man is an absolute piece of shit not worth the effort to have his grave pissed on. Please contact me in private OP - I have some reading for you to do.
