Today, I found out it's ok to post ungraceful birthday pictures of your friends on their Facebook. The same does not apply to my mother, so instead of laughing together I'm getting a cold shoulder. FML.

its a parental respect thing. if a friend posts a goofy picture of me, thats a totally different thing than if my son does.

I can definitely sympathize with you OP. My mom started screaming at me when I posted a picture of her on FB.

I can definitely sympathize with your mom.. nobody likes to be publicly embarrassed on Facebook and it doesn't take much for a mom to consider a picture unflattering. Let alone if you purposefully picked one she looks bad on.

Today, I got fired. Not because of anything I did, but because my best friend, who'd I'd gotten hired, stood up for herself when both the owner's wife and daughter became disrespectful professionally. She then quit and got a job with a competitor. They started looking at her LinkedIn. Two weeks later, I get canned. FML

Today, I ran home because a guy I had never seen before got off the bus at the same time as me, and followed me almost all the way home. I was crying for my mom to call the police but my brother just snorted at me, because, “Only pretty girls have stalkers.” I wish I was an only child. FML

Today, my husband asked me if it was alright if he went on a riverboat trip on the Rhine River without me. The scoliosis and osteoarthritis in my back has gotten so bad with age, I have become seriously disabled and unable to travel. I used to be that we were too poor or too busy with work, but now that we have the money and time, I'm too sick. FML

Today, I learned that my boyfriend, the father of my child, has been cheating on me. We’ve only been back together for about five months. I stopped talking to someone I really liked to try to make it work with him for our kid. I learned a few days ago that that guy moved on. I regret not taking my chance. Now I might not ever get one.
