Today, I sadly had to tell my fiancé of 3 years that I realized I’m a lesbian and not really attracted to men, and therefore I called off the wedding. He decided to retaliate and out me to my very Christian parents, who are unhappy campers right now. “Unhappy” is an understatement. FML
Today, my mother burst into tears and hysterics when she found out my fiancée and I were not "pure" for our upcoming wedding. I'm 28, she's 27, and we've lived together for four years. FML
Today, my fiancée called off our wedding, because she found out I had sex with another woman. Three years before we even met. FML
Today, I told my girlfriend of 2 years that I was sexually abused as a kid. She was only the third person I've told. She reacted by breaking up with me because I "might do something" to her kids. FML
Today, my boyfriend of six years broke up with me for a girl he's known for less than 72 hours. Why? He wanted someone pure. I lost my virginity to him five years ago. FML
Today, my fiancé told me he wished he never met me and that he wished I didn't exist. Our wedding is next week. FML
Today, at our wedding, instead of saying "I do", my fiancé paused before saying, "I can't do this", stepped down from the altar and proposed to my maid of honor. When she obviously refused, he ran from the venue bawling. He's not returning my calls. FML
Today, my family and my fiancée's family met each other and my worst fear came true. My asshole dad found out my fiancée's dad is a reverend and his first sentence was, "How's the molestation business these days?" It didn't take long before a brawl erupted and we were kicked out. I'm cutting him off for good. FML
Today, after months of arguing and conflict, I broke up wIth my fiancé. Or at least, I tried to. The wedding's off, but only until he can convince me to want to marry him again. FML
Today, my fiancé called off our engagement after I contested his belief that women stop having periods after they are married. FML

I'm so sorry. If he can't handle knowing that about you, then I bet there's a lot of other stuff that life will throw his way that he also won't be able to handle. I'm sorry it took this long to find out that he was this useless. Hopefully you'll find someone later on who can handle being with a real person who's had some bad experiences as well as the ones that are easy for everyone to process.

Haha. Somehow I kind of doubt that since each user is given one vote. I find it hard to believe very many people on here know her and voted accordingly. Maybe she is a bitch. Innocent until proven guilty, though. Besides, in my opinion, you'd have to be the world's worst **** with no redeeming values to deserve that. I honestly can't think of anyone I know personally who would.

I think that's a really shitty thing to say. Your comment adds absolutely nothing to the thread, except to illustrate you as a self-righteous little douche. I don't understand how you can hear that the OP finally found the courage to open up to the man she loved about a childhood trauma, then rejected with the underlying implication that she probably wanted it anyway. "Based just on this", I think it's safe to say "anything bad" about him. I'd probably think he was a misogynistic dick even if the OP had revealed to him that she had, perhaps, had consensual sex before dating him. But the fact that he rejected her for abuse, just places him beyond any possibly derogatory description.

Yeah I don't get why everyone thinks of the fiancé as such a bad guy. I understand that what happened to the OP wasn't her fault, but.. it wasn't her fiancé's fault either, so there's no reason why he should be forced to accept "damaged goods".
