Today, I couldn't answer almost any of the questions in the game "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?" I'm a 40 year old man. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I was playing a math game with a 4th grade boy (I'm a college graduate). I cheated during the entire game, and still lost 7 of the 9 rounds we played. FML
Today, I was trying to work out, and couldn't even complete an exercise regime meant for 50-year-olds. I'm 24. FML
Maths
Today, I realized my brain has degraded so fucking much when I could only do one math question over the span of 24 hours. FML
Today, I had a giant Scantron test. After putting 10 answers, I noticed every single answer was A. I got freaked out and started putting random answers. Turns out every answer on the test was A. I failed. FML
Today, I started to fill out a job application online, with age being one of the first things I put in. After half an hour and 40 questions, I hit submit. I was then told that I wasn't old enough to apply. FML
Unfair failing
Today, while I was taking a test in class, there was a question that had everyone stumped. After what seemed like forever, the teacher finally noticed and said he'd typed the question wrong. I spent more than half the time I had to complete the test on a question that wasn't even written correctly. Yes, I failed. FML
University challenge
Today, I got selected to participate in a trivia night after trying for ages. First question: "What is the capital city of Australia?" My brain completely stopped functioning and I confidently and incorrectly answered "Sydney." I've spent most of my life knowing the correct answer, but my brain wouldn't let me remember it when it mattered. FML
Classic rookie mistake
Today, I was taking a test and thought I was doing great until I realized I was writing all my answers on the question paper, not the answer sheet. By the time I noticed, there were only five minutes left. FML
Time
Today, I used to look so young for my age that in high school, I was regularly mistaken for a freshman. I never succeeded in getting dates because of it. Today, I'm 25 years-old and regularly get confused for being in my thirties. I guess all the stress from work, loneliness, and rejection really caught up. FML
Today, I missed points on a math quiz because I thought 2 times 5 was 20. I'm a math major. FML

The questions on that show don't indicate intelligence. Almost all of the things they ask are about pointless knowledge that nobody truly learns in school. What they test people with is as pointless as a crossword puzzles. Remember, there's a difference between being smart and knowing things.

That show is SO beyond 5th grade. I was watching an episode my junior year of high school, and they asked a question that I had learned less than two weeks prior. And of course the fake 5th grader knew it. Bullshit!

Your lack of intelligence is visible in your submission as well: "couldn't answer almost everyone question." Go back to school.

i was about to point that out..

I noticed that too. The show is so easy I want to scream because of the morons on it. How do they choose them? My parents and I used to joke that they probably select only the applicants who have an IQ of under 50z

I was gonna say that....

and I'm pretty sure a 'lawyer' would be able to spell... lawyer.

Well it also depends from what state the kids are in the show/game. Here in the 2nd dumbest state in America (Texas) I was in fifth grade and realized half that stuff we didn't even learn.

Yea, your grammer stinks but those questions are beyond 5th grade. I have a 5th grader and most of that stuff is way beyond what she is doing....the actual 5th grade questions I mean.

That maybe so but if our children were doing that "advanced work" we wouldn't be so far behind other countries. I was recently in Asia and I learned that for the simplest jobs such as being a bellboy in a hotel or a grocery store clerk you have to have a university degree. I am talking about Thailand so I shudder to think how intellectually short we fall compared to somewhere like China whose kids are in schools from 7am to 9pm if not longer.

If I had a degree and the onky jobs I could get were bellboy and grocery store clerk, I would shoot myself. They better be making a shit load of money, otherwise that's absolutely ridiculous and I'm not sure I believe youb

Yeah, and your defiantly not smart. Really? "...as A crossword puzzleS..." get rid of either the a or s.
shyeahh_fml 19
...As you say he's "defiantly not smart." I'm assuming you meant to say "definitely", but I'm not sure here. You may just not know the difference between defiantly and definitely, even though the definitions of the two words are not similar in ANY way.

Or the mix-up between "your" and "you're".

The irony of this actually hurts.

ianbennett123 0
Actually, you just made a fail aswell. You spelt America wrong. It's a proper noun meaning that it starts with a capital letter.

Yeah thats pretty damn depressing.
