Today, I came home to found all of my belongings out on the street. My roommate, who is also my brother, apparantly neglected to pay his part of the rent, and we got evicted. FML

Today, my roommate is being evicted. Since we had some very good memories together, I was sad to come home and see all of her stuff gone...and half of my stuff, too. FML
Today, my boyfriend moved out and took all his things with him. He also took some things that didn't belong to him, namely my rent money. My landlord comes tomorrow. FML
Today, my brother and I were nearly made homeless by a good friend and roommate, because after repeatedly leading on my brother, and admitting she’s disrespected me all along, she and her boyfriend took off suddenly without a word of notice, leaving us to a house we can't afford alone. FML
Today, my roommate and I had to pay our first installment of rent. He's nowhere to be found. FML
Today, my roommate of a year and good friend of several more decided to move out. When I came home from a long work shift, I found all the cupboards emptied out of everything, including all the new stuff I bought to replace what she was going to take with her. FML
Today, my roommate found an eviction notice on our door for unpaid rent. Our apartment building caught fire and we haven't been living there for well over a month because it was legally unlivable. Today was our first day back. FML
Today, I found out that while I was on vacation my neighbor had let my brother into my apartment. I don't have a brother. FML
Today, I'm being evicted from my apartment for not paying rent. My father is the on-site landlord, meaning I now have to move my stuff downstairs into his place, and hear every day how I'm a failure. FML
Today, I came back to my apartment after moving most of my stuff out. Upon returning, I learned that my now ex-roommate drank all of my alcohol and threw away my things, thinking that I had forgotten them. FML
Today, all of my roommates handed in their vacating notice unexpectedly. They are all moving to a new house together in two weeks, leaving me to be either homeless or forced to pay 4 times what I was paying in rent. FML

Obama needs to make it illegal to evict ppl. pay if u can but if u can't then the landlord should let u stay anyway. have a heart America, there are so many homeless ppl already

illegal to evict people? yeah, that'd be just fantastic! so when a tenant moves into my apartment and stops paying me, what am i supposed to do? just stop making the payments to the bank and have them foreclose on the apartment and kick the tenants out anyway? besides, as others have stated, it takes more than just missing one-half of a month's rent and a couple of days to evict someone.

Ya, America tried that a few decades ago with the projects. People could live there for free, but guess what? No one would get off their butt and do anything. Not paying rent let them live an, easier life and they only had to work for food and clothes money. This eventually lead to the ghetto and other poor communities. Making everything easier for people that can't earn a good wage is only giving them a crutch they won't need for very long. Sure when they need it it's nice, but they'll still use it when it isn't needed.
